"Jim is local.  It went great. Jim Ferrell is a professional of the highest caliber. Responded quickly, took care of my problems, and advised me as to better means of protection than I had. He came back a second time to uninstall software that I purchased that did not provide adequate protections and installed free software that would do the job.  He did the work through remote connection, but is available on site if necessary.
For those people needing help on getting red of malware, viruses , etc. on your computer,  Jim is local, better than all thse remote out of state location providers, is a mature, highly trained professional in this area.
If you go to local computer stores you get very young people that can do a basic job, but are no where near the professional level of Jim.
I highly recommend Jim to anyone that needs these type services.

"Overall I was not impressed with the quality of the work. I wish I had just made the nail pop repairs myself. The gentleman was friendly, professional, and easy to be around. He did leave 20 minutes early without asking if I was satisfied or needing anything else. This I only mention because the company charges 185.00 for a 2 hour block (166 was the Angie's list discount)."

"Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."

"They had to put a slab down with barbed wired. A crack came through the concrete almost right away. They put up the sun room up perfectly and were professional and quick. I complained because I requested a glass that would not let heat in and reflect the sun back. I thought I was paying for a product that would do that but that is not the case. They did a good job with the installation but I had to have them come back multiple times because the gutters they installed kept leaking. They put an application on the roof to attempt to stop the leaks. They also lost my itemized receipt and they never provided me with one. I have had them come back many times over the years due to the sun room.

"It went well. Jeff was honest that he wasn't sure how to put tint on a window but checked YouTube and was able to do the work with my husband. It was a 2 person job for that. But I am happy with it. He was patient and did good work."

"We bought a garage door from Menards then looked for someone to instal it.  One person I called in Dublin flat out refused the job because he did not want to deal with Menards. (turns out he was smart).   Menands provided 2 names, we went with AC Roark after getting estimates from both.  AC is easy to schedule with and responds well to messages.  The estimate process was transparent and streamlined.  It included picking up the new door, installation and hauling off the old door.  Unfortunately, the special order door was the wrong size, causing some drama with the job which Roark handled beautifully.  They helped us order the replacement panels to make the door work, they returned the wrong panels and picked up the new ones.  One of those was damaged so the drama continued, but still AC did not disappear, but continued to help and help until all was right.  Because our door was not a stock item, all this took time, and meanwhile Roark made sure the garage door was secure.  The company has that family member feel -  AC treats you like he would his Auntie/ cousin/ friend.  The price is fair, the work is honest.  Customer service exceeded expectations.

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in Howard, OH

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
