"It was a very good experience overall. We really appreciated their expertise in window installation. The quality of the windows was premium and will last for years to come. The owner was friendly and did a great job explaining the different window products and helped us choose windows that met our needs. We also used Key Exteriors to replace our roof and they got the job done quickly and efficiently. We're thrilled with the results!"

"While receiving estimates from several contractors for new roofing, it was pointed out that the chimney was in need of repairs.  Since I had contracted Masoner & Sons for masonry repairs several years ago, I contacted Ken Masoner to see if he would be available for this job, as well as some work on the brickwork above the foundation.  He was very prompt in coming by and providing an estimate, and was able to complete the work shortly afterward.  I will definitely call him anytime I need masonry work or repairs. <br />"

"Before the job was sold the sales team headed by Mike Hawkins were very professional, courteous but right after the signed contact job was delayed due to their internal department mixup. I was not communicated of any delay and had to call numerous people to get the response. During the whole process they worked with my insurance company and finished the work on time and the roof looked great. Right after job was completed I noticed my porch gutter leaking at the joint. It was a new leak which I thought would be the result of shingles being thrown while install. After sending video of the leak to the sales, install and customer service I didn’t get any response then finally I complained to their General Manger Grant and he came to inspect the leaking gutter and said the age of the gutter may be the cause of the leak but he will get it caulked. It has been more than a week, email and text message to their General Manager Grant has still not fixed the leaking gutter. Roof replacement was a good job but if there is any problem later on with their work I will not depend on their warranty commitment. I will not recommend them to others for their after sales service commitment."

"It was really fast. I expected a day's work but it only took them a couple hours. Given the materials and how long it took to install it, it seems like the price was rather high."

"Over the years we have undertaken many renovations to the homes in which we have lived. To do the renovation of our patio room into an all-season room, we spent a month interviewing six different builders and getting estimates. We liked how thorough Fredericksburg Builders were in discussing with us our ideas for our all-season room. We were also impressed with how they itemized and presented the contract to us. They offered ideas, and listened to our ideas and revisions throughout the planning period. When we finally decided upon the plans for the renovation their construction supervisor was very thorough in going over the contract  to make sure that we were all on the same page. Their estimate of the cost was the most economical of all the contractors we interviewed. <br /> Once the construction started, the crews arrived on time to begin the demolition of the old patio enclosure. From that point forward, all materials for the construction were delivered on time and on site for the crews to promptly begin work. All of the crews that worked on our project had a good work ethic, were polite, and cleaned up the site after their workday. Crews were diligent about not damaging our rubberized surface around the pool area by having plywood covering the area throughout the project. <br /> The heating system was somewhat of a challenge. We had hot-water radiant heat in the floor of the existing family room. For the new addition, we wanted to extend the radiant heat to the new portion of the all-season room. The heating contractor, Alpine Heating, evaluated the existing system and devised a means of connecting the radiant floor heating to the existing water boiler. <br /> All the crews were knowledgeable and efficient. They did an outstanding job laying the new tile after they had ripped up the old. The siding, doors, and windows were installed skillfully. But, what was really impressive was that they retrieved some of our old exterior bricks to finish off the fireplace in a manner we never expected so that it is a feature of the new all season room. The gate to our fence around the pool which the new all season room faces when finished looked like the original. <br /> What was exceptional was how the construction supervisor was always on top of things, willing to listen, and was concerned with how the end result would meet our expectations! We can only say that the addition of the new all season room far exceeded our expectations! <br />"

"Called for appointment and made date for site visit.  Received estimate in about 5 days.  Asked for a less inclusive estimate and got that quickly. Accepted the full set. <br /> Over a period of 7-10 days and according to schedule: First up was to remove old lighting, install new wiring and switches/dimmers and then pot lighting in kitchen and family room.  Some duct mods on AC in breakfast area were done to allow for silencing noisy plumbing from upstairs.  Next drywall repairs were made and the ceiling "popcorn"  resprayed.  Next came replacing the counter tops with a new sink and existing disposal, reverse osmosis and faucet.  Finally the flooring was done; a small adjustment was promptly performed, and new molding was stained to match the floor.  We later had the electrician return to do several custom light installations (not part of the original job.) <br /> Very professional, were accommodating of our family schedules, and overall did excellent work .  Would not hesitate to have them back to do remods. <br /> Don't have any "dos" or "dont's" ,other than watching that things were done as planned.. no issues at all. <br />"

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Huntertown, IN

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
