"Excellent! Kent came out and gave us an estimate. He was cordial, explained what we needed and how the job would be performed, and showed us on his phone the kind of pump that would be installed. He was not pushy. He has many years of experience doing plumbing and was straight forward. He said he would send an estimate on Friday that week, when he was in the office, and he did. Michael's requires half down before ordering the parts, and the remaining half upon completion of the job. Job went smoothly, Brandon showed up on time and ready to do the work that was needed. He did an excellent job, kept me informed and cleaned up every bit of mess that was made before leaving. An A+ experience!!"

"This service was better than expected! I was having trouble finding someone I could trust and who would make it to our scheduled appointment on time (I was stood up by two other companies before this). From the beginning their communication was clear and timely. Bri was amazing to work with to set up the appointment and to confirm the appointment. Robert came out and assessed our pipe. He was quick to figure out the problem and quick to fix it. He was very honest and answered all my questions in easy-to-understand language. He even made recommendations for winterizing and showed me how to winterize my irrigation pipe after it was fixed. I loved the friendly service on the phone and the ease of texting was an added bonus. I will most definitely be using Straight Up! Plumbing again. Thank you Bri and Robert!"

"We needed a new water heater so we called Art's Plumbing. They came out promptly, gave us an estimated price and within a few hours we had a new water heater. The plumber was courteous, did a good job, cleaned up after the job and hauled away the old water heater. While he was there we discussed putting in a gas line for a fire pit in the backyard and came back a few days later on the day that was scheduled to install the gas line. While he was putting in the gas line he suggested we put in an extra line for the barbecue which we did. The two plumbers were very helpful, did a great job and charged us the amount they quoted us, which I thought was very reasonable. I would use them again for any plumbing needs that I have."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Incline Village, NV

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
