"Keith Allen manages a very efficient business and has a fabulous staff of technicians. His employee, Tyler, did an excellent job of repairing a broken water line outside my house. He flushed the line after repairing it, and he also installed a valve system in the basement so that I can flush the line again if the neighborhood water line is ever subject to construction in the neighborhood. I highly recommend Utilicare Plumbing!"

"Original contractor had failed to connect a shower drain line causing the shower water to empty into the crawl space. Contacted Joe Johnson at Johnson Plumbing about the problem. He sent 2 guys out that morning. They did a great job, were friendly and professional, and had the issue resolved within an hour. Price was reasonable and service was excellent. <br />"

"Melton scheduled the job quickly and finished the install in a day. The work quality was excellent. I asked them to grade the ground underneath the old unit and to re-configure the gas piping which they did without complaint. Communication was good, the workers were prompt, polite, and skilled. I was satisfied."

"We initially called to get our hot water tank replaced. Thank goodness we called this company. They sent Robert who did some investigation and it turned out there was a slab leak in the hot water pipe. The job turned out to be much bigger than anyone expected. We had to find a leak detection service and the leak was found—just as Robert suspected. Great job all around. Highly recommend My Professional Plumber."

"Mountaineer found and repaired the leak in the gas tank, at a fraction of the cost of what the dealer was going to charge.  The dealer was going to charge me $90 just t look at it!  I have an older Volvo, and in the past Mountaineer has replaced the timing belt.  I had several competitive estimates, and Mountaineer was as low as the rest.  They were recommended to me, and sometimes it's difficult to find mechanics to work on foreign cars.  The only problem I have with Mountaineer is that they tend to be too busy.  They are just a small business, and it can be difficult to get an appointment."

"The remediation company called Knoxville Plumbing late yesterday afternoon. Today, at 11:10 a.m., I received a text with the picture and name of the technician from Knoxville Plumbing who was coming. Pickett arrived in half an hour and put on shoe covers to not track dirt into the house. He went right to work and put in a new PEX pipe joint and fixture in an hour. Good as new!"

"We had outlets stop working the previous night. The light fixtures were still working so we concluded that we needed to hire an electrician to quickly find and replace the cause of the issue. I found Lloyd's here on Angie's List and read through several reviews. I called just before 10am about getting on today's schedule; they took my info and informed me the Service Mgr would return my call. He called and said they could be to my house within the hour. Sam and Andy arrived as stated and quickly determined the problem. It turned out that a neutral wire was not properly connected and upon physical examination it sparked and burnt the outlet up. Sam replaced it with a new outlet, wrote my invoice and they went on their way. I was back in business within 3 hours from the time I placed the call this morning!! Sam and Andy were professional and personable towards me, which I really appreciate! I don't write reviews as often as I should, however, I'm trying to get better at it, because I use reviews to decide whom I use. Based on my experience with their customer service, I would rehire Lloyd's Electric Service and can confidently recommend them. I do not have an invoice because they mail them."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Jacksboro, TN

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
