"Great to work with. They were efficient and knowledgeable. They took care of the rebate for our heat pump. Only thing lacking was responsiveness to email/phone communication after the install was done. Heat pump system is working great."

"Technician Jim was not impressive. Was not confident when answering the questions I asked. Very contradicting.. Tried to sell product for items that were not even in need of repair. Spoke negatively about the company and made excuses as to why he could not perform his job due to lack of information from dispatch or technician manager. Said he would follow up, I never heard from him. Blessing to me, I decided to go with another HVAC company. I typically would not put names out there, but please be careful if you get this gentleman as a technician."

"I couldn't be more thrilled with the service I received from Mark at Fabtek! From the very first consultation to the final installation of my new AC unit and furnace, Mark delivered top-tier professionalism, craftsmanship, and care. He took the time to walk me through all my options, answered every question patiently, and made sure I felt confident in my choices. The installation itself was smooth, efficient, and done to perfection. You can tell Mark takes great pride in his work—everything looks clean, functions flawlessly, and was completed right on schedule. He even went above and beyond to ensure the space was tidy when he finished. And the pricing? Incredibly affordable, especially considering the quality of work and equipment. No hidden fees, no surprises—just honest, excellent service. If you're looking for someone dependable, skilled, and fairly priced, look no further than Mark at Fabtek. Highly recommended! "

FAQs for central humidifier installation and replacement projects in Janesville, WI

A crawl space dehumidifier is a worthwhile investment, particularly in humid climates or if you've noticed musty odors, mold growth, or wood deterioration. Though costs range from $3,000 to $9,200, this investment helps prevent structural damage that could require far more expensive repairs later. Beyond structural protection, a properly dehumidified crawl space contributes to better overall indoor air quality and may reduce allergens throughout your home. Consider having a professional assessment to determine if your specific situation warrants this investment.

Addressing crawl space moisture effectively often requires a combination of solutions. A complete approach includes encapsulation plus dehumidifier installation. For minor moisture issues, a basic dehumidifier starting at $1,500 may suffice, while severe problems in larger spaces could require systems costing up to $14,000. The most effective moisture control strategy depends on your specific conditions, making a professional assessment valuable for determining the most cost-effective approach for your situation.

For a crawl space measuring 1,500 square feet, you'll need a dehumidifier with a daily capacity of 30 to 50 pints, with unit costs ranging from $150 to $600. Your local climate and existing moisture levels may necessitate adjusting this capacity—homes in particularly humid regions might benefit from higher-capacity units. Professional installers can measure your specific humidity conditions and recommend equipment that is appropriately sized, balancing initial cost with operating efficiency for your unique situation.

Crawl space dehumidifiers add $300 to $500 to your annual electricity expenses when operating continuously. Energy-efficient models reduce this consumption by roughly 15 to 30% compared to standard units. Most contemporary dehumidifiers feature humidity sensors that automatically cycle operation based on current conditions, helping manage energy usage. Proper crawl space encapsulation significantly improves efficiency by creating a controlled environment that requires less dehumidifier runtime, thereby reducing ongoing electricity costs.
