"Where our carpet meets our bathroom tile we had water coming up soaking into the carpet. I thought at first one of the movers dropped a water bottle, but it kept coming back and kept coming back and it turned out the water was coming up thru the floor. I thought maybe rolling over the floor they might have broken something. The next day I called a different company and they did come out pretty quickly and immediately started talking about we can send a camera in the pipe to see what the problem is before we start jack hammering your floor. Then they went out to the water meter to see how bad the leak was and if the needle was spinning even though the water was turned off, but they found out our water pressure was too high and suggested we put a pressure reducer on it to prevent any further pipe damage. So we were looking at quite a bill. Then, I called the insurance company the next business day and they wanted to use their provider, and that's how Bryco got sent to our house around July 18. <br /> <br /> When Bryco arrived, the first thing he asked me, the very first, was where's the water, he looked at it and asked where is your washing machine. It was on the other side of the wall, He walks around, takes a flash light, and shows me where the hose to the washing machine was screwed onto the tap and it was leaking. Our tap was so old, that was just the last straw and it just wasn't going to be connected anymore. That's what the water was. never talked about jack hammering or cameras or busted pipes . It was the freaking washing machine. I was pretty happy with him. For $125 he replaced both, saved us a fortune. He went out and put the pressure valve on the meter at the street and saved us $300. The pressure valve was $600. <br />"

"We experienced a sudden, drastic, decrease in water pressure in our master bathroom shower. As DIYers, we checked for obvious reasons for decrease; i.e., limescale in shower nozzle, etc., and determined that shower line was blocked since pressure in rest of house was unaffected. Called Bauml Plumbing about 9:30am, explained problem, said it was non-emergency, but that I would be home in afternoon. The van arrived at 1:30pm. Paul tested the water pressure in the shower by turning it on. There was barely a trickle from the shower head. Removed the shower head fitting at the wall, unscrewed a coupler, cleaned up a lot of rusty corroded stuff inside the pipe in the wall, removed a large piece of debris from the pipe, flushed out the pipe, replaced the coupler with a shiny new one from his van, Teflon taped it all back together, reassembled the fixture, returned the removed parts to me, wiped up the rusty crud that fell in my clean shower, and turned on the WIDE OPEN UNOBSTRUCTED FREE-FLOWING HIGH-PRESSURE shower!"

"This was our third time using S&S Plumbing and, as did our previous 2 experiences, this one went great. <br /> We have an old irrigation system that we're in the process of removing and we needed the water supply to the system capped off. It wasn't a big job, but since the supply line was so close to the main water line to our house, we decided not to take a chance doing it ourselves and instead have S&S take care of it. <br /> We called their office and, even though we told them it wasn't an urgent situation, they had their guys at our house in about 2 hours. About an hour later, the job was done. No fuss, no worries. <br /> A friend recommended S&S to us a few years back. She'd used them several times and was always happy with their service. It's easy to see why. We can't recommend them highly enough. <br />"

"My hot water heater was not to code. So several other repairs were needed before I could get the PRV replaced. My gas hot water heater would not light after repairs, so they gave me a great deal on a new one since it was operational before. I would have given an A, but the put the ORB in the wrong place and city would not pass it."

"My first story Lennox A/C system (3.5-ton evaporator coil + 3-ton A/C) was struggling to say the least during these past few very hot summer days. Since I am aware that these Lennox coils were having corrosion issues within 5 years or so due to being a mix of aluminum and copper, I knew that a refrigerant leak on the evaporator coil was probably the culprit. I contacted a few companies through Angie's List who had availability to come quick (on Monday) and inspect my system. As I thought, I was told that the system had essentially no refrigerant, and that the likely culprit was the evaporator coil. I didn't need more evidence as I knew this was the more likely scenario. This company wanted me to go with a 4-ton Carrier evaporator coil, which I felt was too big for a 3-ton Lennox AC, plus it was a different brand, which I wasn't too willing to consider. I then decided to contact other companies that same day at about 2 PM, one of them being Beyer Boys A/C. I know that they are a big company, so I wasn't expecting they had any availability to help me soon, but since they are a Lennox certified dealer, I decided to give them a try. To my surprise, Marcía, the Beyer Boys rep I spoke with, gave me the option of sending a technician to provide a second opinion or, if I was sure it was the evaporator coil, to then have a Sales representative or "Comfort Advisor" at my house within 30 to 45 minutes to provide a repair estimate! Wow! I quickly accepted and the proceeded to contact 2 other smaller A/C companies with great reviews in Angie's List. Mr. Tim Megason, the "Comfort Advisor" from Beyer Boys A/C showed up on time and was very courteous, reasonable, and professional. He inspected my system and quickly built up a proposal with a Better and Best options for me to consider. The Better option was a non-Lennox coil, hence cheaper. The Best option was the coil I was considering as a replacement, which was the Lennox all aluminum coil. The proposal clearly listed the model of the coil being installed, what other parts were being included, like the pan in this case, the warranty, and permits if required. Mr. Megason sent me the proposal via email for me to consider. It could be filled and signed online, which made the process more customer friendly with no pressure to quickly sign an agreement. I appreciated that. Best part was that Mr. Megason informed me that if I made a decision that day by COB, they could install the new coil that very next morning and start work between 8 and 9 AM!! Wow! Making the story about pricing short, two of the other smaller companies quoted me significantly higher than Beyer Boys, with installation dates at least 3 days away. The original company that inspected my A/C did not reply to me when I asked for an estimate on a Lennox coil and not a Carrier. Their Carrier estimate was lower than Beyer Boys' estimate; however, that was an option I would not consider. Mr. Megason put forth a very reasonable and competitive offer compared to the other offers I received. At this point, I was pleasantly surprised with Beyer Boys in how quickly they had somebody at my home to provide an estimate, plus the professionalism, courteousness, and reasonableness of both Mr. Megason at my house and Marcía on the phone. The electronic proposal was a great touch, too. Of course, I agreed to do the work with Beyer Boys and signed the proposal online. I was told by Mr. Megason that they would be at my home to replace the leaking coil between 8 and 9 AM the next day Tuesday. At 8:11 AM, I received a call from their technician Daryl saying that they were on their way and would be at my home in about half an hour. At about 8:45 AM they arrived at my home on a Beyer Boys truck ready to go. Both Daryl and the other technician that came in were uniformed, courteous, and professionals. They allowed me to see the box of the new Lennox coil they brought to install and to see it was the same model I was promised. They took extreme care to use shoe covers to not dirty my floors and carpets. Daryl even laid down a red plastic cover over the carpet to protect the area where they would be frequently coming in and out of the attic while repairing my A/C system. They took great care of keeping my house and the area clean! That is absolutely a big PLUS. They started at about 9 AM and kept working until completing the work at about 1:45 or so...so it was a very difficult 5 hours of work considering the scorching temperatures in the attic. Removing the old coil was a real pain to say the least. However, Daryl and his assistant worked very carefully to keep the integrity of the system. There was a metal pipe that was attached to an exhaust from the furnace which was right in front of the coil and needed to be removed. Daryl tried his best not to damage it, but it wasn't budging, so he cut it and removed it. I was wondering if Daryl was planning on using the same broken piece of exhaust when done, but no. As soon as the new coil was in place and installed, Daryl went to their truck and came back not only with that small piece of metal pipe he had to break to do the job, he brought enough parts to essentially IMPROVE the pipe that was already in place. He replaced a good 3 parts from the original pipe and made it better and more sturdy, all for no additional charge! On that same note, the original installers of they A/C system had attached the drain pan to the coil case itself, which Daryl explained could cause the pan to bend in the middle and the water to not flow properly. So, Daryl and his assistant went out to their Beyer Boys vehicle and pulled a bunch of wood pieces (4x4s and other wood) and custom built a wooden base for the new drain pan, so that it could rest on it and not hang from the case. FANTASTIC! Again, no additional charge! After the replacement job was done, both techs went out to check the vacuum on the system and it was perfectly sealed, which means that it was in fact the coil. The old coil that was removed was clean, but super rusty on the sides, showing clear evidence of a leak. They then refilled the system with virgin refrigerant and voila!...nice and cold air started flowing from my A/C vents once again! As soon as Daryl felt satisfied with the results, they proceeded to remove their tools and clean the area. Daryl went and started removing the red plastic cover over my carpet near the attic while picking every small piece of debris from the floor. The left the area and property as clean if not cleaner than what they found it, all while being incredible professionals, being courteous, and answering multiple questions I had with no issues whatsoever. Job was done right, as scheduled on time, with a level of professionalism that I have never seen and that I am sure is difficult to match. I cannot be more satisfied and, believe me, I am not easily satisfied at this level as I am very detail oriented. I have no complaints with Beyer Boys A/C and will certainly consider them for all my future needs, including maintenance. Thank you!"

"After reviewing the options, I decided on TDT and relining of my pipes with epoxy. I was out of town during the process -- 3 days without water -- and arrived home the last day. The foreman of the crew and I talked every day of the job. They did a great job and obviously great care of my house. They cleaned up after the work was complete and there have been no leaks. Best of all, the water is more pure and clear than I have ever seen in any house I've lived in."

"He arrived as scheduled. The leak was a serious problem requiring the water main to be shut off. He provided emergency service within an hour. He is clean, neat and removes all trash including vacuuming up after himself. His copper solder joints are a work of art! He holds a Master Plumber License # M-38706 issued from the State of Texas. He is also fully insured. Too bad the plumber that originally put the pipe in the wall wasn't! Please remember that he is a plumber, not a dry wall contractor so any plasterboard restoration must be scheduled separately. <br />"

"When I telephoned Tradesman, 12/4/12 after seeing them on Angie's List, I was greeted by Sonya, a most pleasant, friendly, and helpful person.  She also told me of a coupon online for their services.  A plumber was scheduled to come for an estimate on 12/5/12, and the work was accomplished on 12/6/12.  I was telephoned prior to each arrival.  It was a difficult task as there was a great deal of sludge in the bottom of the water heater and draining the heater was almost an impossibility.  Ronny, the plumber, took his time and did not mar the wood floors.  Everything was clean when he left.  They scheduled the city inspector for today, 12/7/12, and the inspector approved the installation.   <br /> Prior to Tradesman, American Home Shield with whom I had a contract, had contracted with Pipe Down Killeen,  to come to repair the heater.  The entire transaction with Pipe Down was unsatisfactory and although out-of-pocket costs were more by not using the AHS plumber, I am pleased with my decision and my choice of Tradesman.   <br /> Tradesman also gave me a 10% senior discount. <br />"

"Just fantastic. See my last review. Entered this one since I've used them for ALL my plumbing for two houses since then. They've always exceeded expectations. If you need a plumber, Greg and crew are the folks you need to hire. New water heater, new water softener, one house main install, one main valve install, clear main sewer clog, re-pipe pool/backyard water plumbing, two emergent leaks, and probably something I've forgotten."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Karnes City, TX

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
