"Professional ownership and service at a fair rate. They worked us in to ensure we didnâ t go without at a hot time of the year. They worked longer hours to make it happen and didnâ t work to offer or sell something we did not need."

"The service was excellent! They arrived to pick up the vehicle a day earlier which was great. They delivered the vehicle right to my daughter's door and found a side street to unload. The service was delivered within the time frame given. All of my questions were answered via phone or email and the paperwork was seamless and the price was very reasonable."

"The job was a bit expensive, but it's not a small house, though a neighbor is getting their house done by someone else for $1000 less. The house and trim look good, until you get really close. House color on trim edges that should be a different color. All over spray wasn't cleaned up well, no masking was done. Lots of paint on the driveway, in the grass and on the upper deck. Areas in the yard where brushes and equipment were cleaned, or where paint was spilled are now dead, I will have to reseed those areas when it gets cooler. For the most part we are satisfied, but attention to detail was lacking."

"Jim was professional, tolerant of my need to redesign and make changes based on structural issues.  It was a project between two bigger projects for him.  I was glad he "fit me in" but also felt I had lost his focus as he got to work on the other project.  The plumbing was subcontracted and I liked the plumber he recommended.  Jim was quick to make anything that I was disatisfied with right.  Check the drywall work carefully.  His workers were not careful about filling in small divots and make the surface smoothe.  Check the paint jobs too.  Jim fixed and repainted the areas where the drywall was rough or the painting uneven but there were multiple areas that needed this kind of attention and I had to point them out.  I am very picky but expect to get what is promised.  He did come back and make the touch ups and he did add on a few more tasks (with added expense to me of course) which were not in the original contract.  I would use Jim again."

"We recently moved to Pratt into an older house and wanted to remodel our bathroom. We asked around for a good contractor, and Rod Maphet came highly recommended by several people. As it turns out, I don't believe we could have found a better contractor! The job involved completely demolishing the entire bathroom and installing new lighting and exhaust, walls, floor, shower, toilet and cabinets. Rod did an outstanding job, and completed it within the amount of time he had estimated. He has years of experience in doing these kinds of projects, he knew exactly what he was doing, and his work was meticulous and exacting. He was also responsive to our needs and suggestions - very easy to communicate with. All in all, working with Rod was a very pleasant experience, on both a personal as well as a professional level, and we highly recommend him as a contractor in which anyone could place their complete confidence. <br /> <br />"

"They were very professional, helpful and responsive in answering questions and giving us a quote. In the end, we decided not to repair the countertop and sink but replace it entirely. as the previous owner installed it and it no longer fit our decor. Even though we didn't use them to make the repairs, we were very impressed with their customer service."

FAQs for thermostat installation and replacement projects in Kingman, KS

Smart thermostats may be worth it for many homeowners. They come with various features, including voice control and smartphone apps. Vacation mode can help lower energy usage when you’re out of town for an extended period. Alert warnings let you know about major spikes or drops in temperature. Smartphone apps can track energy usage, and smart thermostats can learn your routine over time to adjust your temperature and reduce wasted energy consumption automatically.

You typically do not need more than one smart thermostat. While it’s common to see multiple mechanical thermostats throughout a large home, multiple smart thermostats may try to override each other. This can lead to problems with the HVAC system. Ensure the unit you buy has the option for dual- or multi-zoned systems to avoid compatibility issues.

Installing a programmable or smart thermostat may save you $180 per year in utility costs. A big part of this comes from a smart thermostat’s ability to learn and adapt to your regular routines. With smartphone apps or web-based interfaces, you also have the option to control your thermostat when you’re not home.
