"Eugene has been great to work with. He is on-time, honest and reliable. We initially hired him for indoor painting but ended up hiring him for additional electrical jobs and also considering for exterior paint. He will surely be our go-to person for home-related tasks."

"Not the best experience.  I felt rushed on the phone getting my bid and then it seemed like some prices were more when he came out.  My little plastic valence holders kept breaking (normal that they would break when moved; old, sun-dried, etc) and Monte kept saying he'd give me some velcro to reattach the valences.  He never did give me any velcro and didn't even put back 2 of the valence boards at all, just left them in the corner of the rooms.  Kind of left a drippy mess, didn't clean window sills off very well.  All in all; the job was done, the blinds are clean, but probably would not use them again."

"I feel extremely fortunate to have found Vicki through Angie's List !  She is an extremely talented person who is very easy to deal with. She has a breath of knowledge that allows her to accommodate my tastes, but also ensure that the overall design is in sync with the design and location of my home.  She has  a very diplomatic way of suggesting when I'm going astray with my choices and in every case where she has told me "Trust Me"  I have been delighted ! She is very aggressive in helping me find the best pricing and often times will work with the vendors directly  hence saving me the time.  She also has excellent local contacts.  Everyone I've worked with through Vicki has been timely, professional, and highly competent.
My project is far from complete.  I intend to continue to use Vicki and her expert advice until the end !!!!"

"Palm Construction used subcontractors at every stage (not unusual), but there was little to no oversight. Communication was a problem. I am doubtful that the product (Trex decking) was installed according to **manufacturers guidelines** and worry what that may mean to the longevity of the final product. Some parts of the install were handled brilliantly and with finesse. Other parts were done hurriedly, resulting in damage to the substructure. Palm has made efforts to repair or redo, as necessary, which I appreciate, but some of their promises fell by the wayside."

"I bought a nice shallow-but-big (39" X 39" X 13") upper kitchen cabinet at Ballard Reuse for $30, but it was too heavy for my husband and me to hang without help -- plus we weren't sure how to do it so that it would (a) look good and (b) not come crashing down on a kid or a cat. We fix our own appliances and do our own home repairs all the time, but this project made us nervous. There was a trim piece at the top of the cabinet, plus molding at the top of the wall the cabinet was to go on, and we just didn't have the tools or the know-how to figure out how to mesh the two in an attractive way. I put the project into Home Advisor, but the top two matched pros were not good matches (a guy way down in Kent, plus Sears Kitchen Installation??). Sticks-N-Stones of Lynnwood was listed under additional matches and was the only one located anywhere near our Shoreline home. We hoped Sticks-N-Stones could squeeze our rinky-dink job in amongst others in the area, while still coming at a time when my husband would be around to help lift the cabinet into place. I contacted Dale by email late afternoon on Friday, and he was here Sunday morning(!), after doing other jobs in the area. He was clean cut, personable, and prompt. He discussed with us what we wanted, told us the course of action necessary, and was done within minutes -- at an amazing price! The cabinet looks better than I ever dreamed. It's flush with the ceiling and actually looks like a built-in. It's perfectly level and butts up perfectly next to the molding that he cut to fit. A mammoth project for us was so darned easy for him. After Dale left, my husband and I felt a huge weight off our shoulders. And we have some great new kitchen storage! We'll definitely use Sticks-N-Stones again."

"I have an older home (1946) and needed repairs and sprucing up.  I was particularly impressed with the contractor's efforts to keep me fully informed to ensure I understood exactly what was taking place.  He also was extremely budget conscious and recommended ways to labor costs, such as packing up the kitchen and bathroom myself so I wasn't spending money for his guys to do it.  We shopped together for paint, trim and flooring and he was knowledgeable about quality and price of materials.  He steered me from higher priced material in one case and recommended  higher quality material in another case.  I heard the statement 'we have a problem'  three times and in each case, he came up with an effective, inexpensive solution.
Completing all of my projects took about three weeks and he was just as involved with the sub-contractors as he was with his own crew.  He inspected the work during and after, and addressed any questions or concerns I had thoroughly and patiently.  The projects stayed absolutely on budget and there were no hidden costs or surprises.
The end result is that a serious drainage problem is corrected, the concrete safety hazard is no more,  tree limb damage is gone and yard looks great, the kitchen looks better than I could have imagine, I have new cabinet doors on the larger cabinets and the doors on the smaller cabinets now close completely, the hideous wallpaper is out of the bathroom and the walls look terrific.
The quality of all work done was outstanding.  The contractor was wonderful to work with (and I've heard lots of stories of modeling and repair nightmares. He was very responsive to phone calls and in person discussions.  The price was extremely reasonable.  The work was done on time and on budget.  I was kept fully informed and engaged.
I would gladly recommend the firm to family and friends for general contracting work, remodeling/renovation, cabinet work, painting and general repairs.
