"This is a 6 star company. All office personnel and installers (Luiz and Tony) were excellent. I received no benefit or discount for writing this review and rarely even review a company, but they are well worth the effort!"

"Overall, it was excellent. Jerry (the owner) came out and was very straight forward as to what needs to be done. Price (compared to 6 other companies) could not be beat. Work was scheduled reasonably quickly and went smoothly. Problems were discovered after installation and when made aware, Jerry and his crew made sincere efforts to set it right – and were able to solve the issues in couple of visits. All of the crew and management went out of their way to ensure that we were satisfied with the work and overall result. Would definitely consider Liberty Plumbing for future work."

"From initial visit to final installation and follow-up, work was professional in all respects and met and exceeded all expectations! Would definitely contract with this company when it becomes necessary to replace our air conditioning unit!"

Hydro jet uses water at 4,000psi to clean the inside of the mainline drain which connects all the home's drains to the city's sewer system.
Using a snake we can go through the cleanouts on the side of the house.
With the cleanouts snaked, and the blockage located, we can send the hydro jet through the sewer vent and flush out the blocked drain.

"On initial inspection, they discovered that our old heat registers were the kind with asbestos (house built in the 60's), so they had to sub out the abatement part of the job. Once abatement was complete, the workers showed up each day at the time they said they would arrive. They were all friendly and professional. They kept everything clean. The took pictures in the attic to show me before, during, and after the work. They explained what they were doing and showed me the new ducting they were installing (quiet ducts) and explained the more "up-to-date" way of putting in the duct work than what we had. After the work was complete, we noted that the furnace ran much quieter (due to new ducting), and it ran WAY less often. The house stayed much warmer while running the furnace much less often. Best of all, our gas bill dropped! Now that we're moving into summer, the house seems to be staying cooler on these warm days. We don't have A/C so we're hoping the new insulation will keep the house cooler as the days continue to warm up. Very happy with the company and all the work they did. I would recommend them!"

"I was really impressed with the service provided by Nadav and he is team. I have a thirty year old home that still had the original HVAC systems. One located in the attic and the other underneath the house. Neither of these installations was simple. The Sky Clean Air team quoted me two days to remove and install new systems. The install crew was really professional, courteous and hard working. The underneath the house install was especially difficult with a tight crawl space in a less than hospital environment. These guys were not a show up at 10 leave at 3 pm crew.......they worked long hours both days to ensure they met the promised schedule. They kept me informed any issues throughout the installation process so there were no surprises. At the end of two days we had two beautifully installed systems that now cool our 4000 sq ft house in a matter of an hour instead of the 4 or 5 the old system required. I feel that the pricing they gave me was very fair and at the end of the job I felt like I got more value than what I paid. I would certainly use them again in the future."

"Needed work done on multiple outlets and 2 bathroom exhaust fans in a 40 year old condo. One reason I chose them was because they advertise to be older home specialists and from past DIY projects and various repair technician experiences I’ve come to realize that nothing is a simple fix in my condo. Not to my surprise there ended up being some issues but Point Loma Electric and Plumbing did not disappoint. David was my technician and his years of experience showed throughout the whole process. He did a great job completing all the work I requested. More impressive was the team work displayed when an unexpected plumbing issue occurred due to old pipes and valves, reinforcing my nothing is an easy fix at my place attitude. Not only did a plumbing supervisor arrive to quickly fix the issue at no cost but another electrician did as well to ensure the minor delay didn’t hinder David from completing his work in a timely manner. I would highly recommend Point Loma Electric and Plumbing. They offer competitive pricing and excellent customer service from the office staff to the the technicians."

"Jeff originally came out to diagnose the poor performance of our A/C. He checked things out and came back with the fact that the freon was leaking out. He could recharge it and we could hope for the best, but recommended we have the leak located and repaired. We agreed, which required a follow-up call the next Monday. Carlos came out and located the leaks fairly quickly, and repaired the leaks. Since there were two leaks, we elected to have the other joints in the pipes redone to avoid problems in the future. Carlos also recommended we consider replacing the duct work, as the flexible ducts were almost 40 years old and had a number of bad connections. We had previously thought about the need for new ducts, so this just confirmed what we already knew. We agreed to have Tarpy replace our ductwork and they came out by the end of the week. Billy and Jose were the ductwork installers and were great, doing what appears to be a very professional installation. We now have air in rooms that were previously “challenged", and I'm sure the system will now be much more efficient. While there was some confusion over the time of the installation today, the first two calls were very punctual, and Billy apologize for the confusion (which was not his fault). Billy also wanted to be sure we inspected the work and offered to answer any questions we might have. Overall, we were very happy with our experience with Tarpy and appreciated their professionalism and friendliness. As a result, we will have no problem recommending them to our friends. While the cost of the services was not insignificant, it seemed to be "within the ballpark" and I think the adage "you get what you pay for" applies. We will be using Tarpy in the future should the need arise."

FAQs for central humidifier installation and replacement projects in La Mesa, CA

A crawl space dehumidifier is a worthwhile investment, particularly in humid climates or if you've noticed musty odors, mold growth, or wood deterioration. Though costs range from $3,000 to $9,200, this investment helps prevent structural damage that could require far more expensive repairs later. Beyond structural protection, a properly dehumidified crawl space contributes to better overall indoor air quality and may reduce allergens throughout your home. Consider having a professional assessment to determine if your specific situation warrants this investment.

Addressing crawl space moisture effectively often requires a combination of solutions. A complete approach includes encapsulation plus dehumidifier installation. For minor moisture issues, a basic dehumidifier starting at $1,500 may suffice, while severe problems in larger spaces could require systems costing up to $14,000. The most effective moisture control strategy depends on your specific conditions, making a professional assessment valuable for determining the most cost-effective approach for your situation.

For a crawl space measuring 1,500 square feet, you'll need a dehumidifier with a daily capacity of 30 to 50 pints, with unit costs ranging from $150 to $600. Your local climate and existing moisture levels may necessitate adjusting this capacity—homes in particularly humid regions might benefit from higher-capacity units. Professional installers can measure your specific humidity conditions and recommend equipment that is appropriately sized, balancing initial cost with operating efficiency for your unique situation.

Crawl space dehumidifiers add $300 to $500 to your annual electricity expenses when operating continuously. Energy-efficient models reduce this consumption by roughly 15 to 30% compared to standard units. Most contemporary dehumidifiers feature humidity sensors that automatically cycle operation based on current conditions, helping manage energy usage. Proper crawl space encapsulation significantly improves efficiency by creating a controlled environment that requires less dehumidifier runtime, thereby reducing ongoing electricity costs.
