"They've been my go to for hardware and plumbing since 1990 because they can be trusted to do it right, treat you right, and refer if they can't do it or get it. They were on Kohler's service provider list for the Kohler warranty work. They came out in two days after the non urgent service request. He fixed the brand new airjet tub damaged by the PHI contractor who left mortar and water overnight in my brand new tub and plugged the jets and the drain pipes. He also repaired the shower faucet, although a different brand, at no charge. He removed the grout the contractor had installed on the new hardware preventing it from working and also corrected it so it was right side up. He also provided education on the functions on the new tub. Every dept. staff are great at providing education to assist in purchasing the right product or how to FIY and save a service call. They also have told me that a special order part would be cheaper to purchase off the internet. They cover their shoes when they enter the home. They are the tops!"

"Video inspection and cleanup. Company is very responsive and professional. We had called around 9AM and they were over within 2 hours. Jerry was very courteous and knowledgeable, made sure that backed up pipes would not cause any damage to property in basement. Once the problem was determined (grease plug) he cleaned it up in less than an hour. Highly recommend this company."

"It was after hours on a Friday night. I called another plumbing agency but when I couldn't get a call back, I called Lascko Plumbing. Thankfully, a real person answered my call. Hannah was quick to respond, stated she would get a technician right out. Jera called me back to let me know when I could expect someone. Steve was the technician, he was so thorough, very knowledgeable, he found the problem to be a leaky radiator valve that I hadn't tightened when I bled the lines. He was a Godsend, it could have been a flood zone if he wouldn't have found the source of the leak. Great company! Great team! Reasonable price. Satisfied customer!"

"he extended and bypassed the overflow pipe out so it reach right down into the ground, and used a roto-rooter to clean out the pipe even though he didn't have to do that.  They called an hour before saying he's on his way. He is ALWAYS very professional and ON TIME"

"We called Northside for a free estimate, along with another company that was recommended to us. Jerry Roof gave us the estimate and was very helpful in answering any questions we had about types of furnaces and what options would be best for us. Their quote was around the same amount as the other company, but the furnace was a higher efficiency so we decided to go with them. All workers were very professional at all times, showed up on time and completed the work fast, as well as cleaning up debris and hauling away the old appliances. Jerry provided copies and printed the rebate forms for us to send in for the gas and electric company energy rebates. There was a small leak near a drainage hose that I noticed after the installation and called them about, and they showed up the same day and fixed it right away. We also called them the next spring so they could check the airflow for the a/c and adjust it if needed, and they did that with no extra charge."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Lamont, MI

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
