"Pepe's Plumbing is outstanding. James called me back quickly and set up an appointment to see the damage that day. We agreed on a very reasonable price and he set out to complete the repair the next day. He was punctual, professional, did outstanding work and even gave advise on other projects I asked about. Finding a talented and affordable plumber has taken me decades, but going forward I finally "Got a guy!""

"I recommend Brian Bellochio Plumbing to anyone looking. He has helped us so much with our many issues in our old home. He is kind and courteous when he explains the issues and how he plans on solving them. He is always looking to resolve the problems without causing more issues. As we have been updating the many plumbing issues we have, he has always done so efficiently and without breaking the bank. Brian is very clear and concise with the planning and the execution. Brian also lets you know if there are any other problems or updates you may need down the line so planning for repairs and updates can be done prior to your house flooding. In the same respect, Brian is very upfront if repairs do not need to be made so he is very cost conscience for his clients. Brian Bellochio Plumbing is very neat and cleans everything up when he leaves."

"Showed up on time and placed on his booties.  Went to the furnace and started to perform the cleaning.  About 15 minutes he came up and said he had to get someone else to assist with the relief valve, and proceeded to let another person into the house, they both went into the furnace room and about 1/2 hour the newest entry came back up from the furnace room and said he had bad news and bad news.
1st bad news, was that the reserve tank must have a internal leak and that it would have to be replaced and the 2nd bad news was that the CO reading was 1116/ppm and that they would have to shut down my boiler or I would have to sign a release to free them on potential risk is they restarted the boiler.
I was floored, and scared,  I thought my CO detector was suppose to alarm when CO went above 40.   So they wrote up a estimate for replacing the 34 year old boiler 6,625 and an estimate to repair 1,350.  I signed the release and then they left.
I went out and bought a CO detector with readings (which hasn't gone above 14) and I then proceeded to contact two more companies.
The one company pointed out where they took the CO reading, they drilled a hole in the flew and placed their probe inside.  I don't know if this standard practice and yes I am replacing the boiler with a company that is more then 25% less,  but this sounded to me like a scare tack to try and sell boiler/furnaces.

FAQs for gas piping projects in Lansdowne, PA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
