"The installation went pretty much as anticipated. When Mr. Lesan began the removal process for the old faucet he discovered that the original installer had used connectors that were fairly cheap (not brass). He had to make some minor modifications to the pipe stems that would support the new faucet before proceeding further. He also had to ream out the holes in the basin to accomodate the slightly wider inlet spacing on the new unit. Everything was clear sailing after that and the new unit performs as expected."

"Randy did an amazing job getting our new water heater installed! He did it quickly and professionally. Then when we had an issue with water in our basement the next day, he came right out, confirmed it had nothing to do with the new water heater, then tracked down what the true issue was (which 2 other plumbers missed) and snaked out the pipe in our basement. Again he was quick and professional, but once he was done, he took the time to talk to us about options for fixing our p-trap in the basement floor. I will definitely use Randy in the future, and recommend him without hesitation."

"It went great!  I woke up early in the morning to find water coming in my basement.  I quickly turned off the main water supply.  Standing in about 1/2 inch of water, I didn't know what to do.  I put a call into Morgan Miller - they had someone out there by 8 am to assess the situation.  I had no idea at the time what had caused the water problem.   <br /> Alex determined it was a broken sprinkler pipe, caused by too much water pressure from the main line.  He installed a pressure relief valve to fix the problem.  He was very good about explaining exactly what had happened and what he was doing to fix it.  He checked for any additional leaks, but did not find any. <br /> I have used Morgan Miller in the past, and plan to continue to call them for any of my plumbing needs.  They offer great customer service at reasonable prices.  They even follow up every visit with a hand written thank you note!  How many companies do that any more? <br /> <br />"

"The guys were honest, upfront, and gave an excellent price on repairing the pipes in the future. The main line snake was a bit on the more expensive side (i've had my main snaked before at 190-200) but, I will definitely be using Lutz plumbing in the future to replace  the root infested pipes this summer. Overall, the guys were professional, honest, and efficient. This is enough to call them back! <br>"

"I was impressed with the how quickly Bob Hamilton was able to assign a team to come out to my home to address the plumbing issues. The two men were very professional, they went above and helping me. Not only did they just clear the pipe at the clogged point. They cleared the drain all the way to the street. I was very pleased with their quality of service."

"Called The Plumbing Pro on a Friday morning and Terry was here within 90 min. Evaluated the situation, discussed options and prices down to the penny, then proceeded to purchase, deliver, and install a new Rheem gas water heater. Left the work area cleaner than when he started! Highly recommended. I'll definitely use them again."

"It is always wonderful to work with Eric. I have a ground floor heat pump system and ground floor heat pumps are kind of odd ducks in the heating and cooling business so everybody cannot understand it and work on it. He is one of the better people in the town that does. It was tough that it took three days. His office is in Elk Grove. I called him the day that my furnace went out and he sent somebody over the next day to troubleshoot it. We thought that it was one thing but it ended up being some other thing which was pretty drastic. He was back the next day with two other people. When he figured out what it was and that it was going to be very involved he threw the people he needed to throw at it to get it done and it was not all his work that was holding it up. Since it was a ground floor heat pump some of the work needed to be done outside the house in digging up the ground loop. So, I had to get a backhoe operator out here and dig up some stuff before he could fix it. His guy came out and troubleshot it and figured out the problem. I called the company that ruptured the ground source heat pump loop. They sent the backhoe out to dig it up and expose it. He came out the next day to repair it. It was not that he was working too slowly but it was the type of repair that was not something where you could have all the parts on your truck. It was a tough job. I have used him for ten years and will continue to use him."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Lexington, MO

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
