"Finding Wayne during a bad snowstorm was like finding gold. Temps outside were single digits. My heat was nonexistent and I thought no one would come out to help me. Wayne not only came out but he quickly fixed the problem. I had no other source of heat and could not get out to pick up the heaters I ordered from Walmart plus I was very sick that day. Wayne actually went to Walmart for me (his idea) and got me the heaters I needed. That was above and beyond! I cannot say enough good things about this man. He is fair, honest and a genuinely kind person. No upselling. Wayne is a true professional and a jewel of a human. Five stars without hesitation. Highly recommend."

"I had a tankless water heater installed but needed the gas line to be dug from the other side of the house for it to be connected. The job was complicated but Luke and his crew from Mr. Rooter did a great job! I would totally hire them again for any plumbing needs. "

"After using this company for 10 years on my 2 properties, because they did a good install at my Dad's, I find out that every single tech that came out over the years didn't do proper maintenance. I never went out and watched, I never looked inside at the coil and the heat. None of them took out the coil and cleaned it. The heat is filthy. The coil area is so rusty from condensation due to the drain filling up with rust and backing up and spilling down into the heat underneath and rusting out a motor. Every time, I asked why was my air causing so much water, they would tell me it was hot in the garage! No checking my coil. No cleaning my drain as they said they did. No cleaning the heat. Last night I saw this with my own eyes when a new company I hired to fix the heat and look at the air coil pulled the cover and showed me the mess. Told me I should've been keeping up with maintenance on it. Well, I was, only City Heat and Air techs were lying to me about performing the maintenace properly. The last straw was I always ask for a tech at my other property that is knowledgable with Apollo system and the last one they sent, I had to explain how it operates. In fact, that is the reason I called another company. If you use them for maintenance, go out there and watch them."

"I was told that charges would begin when they left their shop and would end at the completion of the job. Sadly, I was charged for a trip to and from, neither of which was in the proposal. In speaking to other electrical companies as well as my own 45 years of experience as a home improvement contractor, installing a couple of bath exhaust fans is clearly a one man job, and should've cost around $350 - $400 total. However I found upon their arrival that the company policy is to send 2 men per job whatever the job. I provided a ladder for easy access to the hugely open attic and then proceeded to observe the next 3 hours one man doing 95% of the work as the other basically watched. No problem... accept that I was being charged $70 per hour per man and then told by the rude and unreasonable office personnel, Victor, that he was informed by the techs that I probably would be unhappy with the high charges. Being charged a $280 trip charge as well as $70 per hr. for a "gopher" is pretty excessive. I would never recommend Lloyd's Electric to anyone and am sorry I had to experience using them even once. They did say they enjoyed my wife's fresh German chocolate cake as well as the remainder roll of my "special" tape they took!"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Loudon, TN

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
