"They worked very hard to level and square the retaining walls and patios. We were very impressed by the lack of cutting corners. Our original patio and retaining walls were never properly installed and they appear to have corrected this problem. For years, we also had a drainage problem on the two sides of the house. They installed a French drain on one side and a basin drain on the other. Time will tell if this completely solves the problem, but the drains were working over the last two days of rain. We were so impressed by the quality of their work that we are having them come back to do a few more landscaping items.

"I received A+ service from Granite Works. I met Bruno Valente, one of the co-owners, on my first visit. He was very friendly and helpful, not pushy like some sales people. The slab I liked the best was marked sold.  In a follow up discussion with Bruno, my brother found out that the sister to that slab was available. Bruno gave it a rating of 11 on a scale of 1 to 10, and he was right.  Bruno held the slab for a few days until I could get there. Purchased it that day, and he held it for 5 months at no charge. Many companies my brother called on my behalf would not hold a slab longer than 30 days.
When my brother was visiting from out of town, they were kind enough to bring it out of storage so that he could see it.  That day, we met Art Rivera who spent considerable time with me us and provided invaluable advice about a new counter I was adding.  He also provided other design suggestions on the backsplash and paint color, which I followed with great results. That was an extra bonus I didn't expect. So, if Art gives you advice, you should definitely take it.
The templater, Glauber (hope this is the correct spelling), was extremely detail oriented and communicated well with my carpenter and his assistant. He made a suggestion for the end cap of the new counter and the handrail behind it that made it a true work of
art.  Gus Valente (co-owner), with assistance from Eduardo (stone cutter), did a great job of deciding what parts of the stone would go where in my kitchen and fireplace.  They have an amazing eye. I was so impressed by their finding parts of the slab in totally different areas that would best connect at the seams. The installers were terrific and that process went very smoothly. I have 2 seams that are barely noticeable.  Their work in the kitchen and my fireplace surround was impeccable.
Granite Works exceeded my expectations, and I'm very picky.  My counters are a work of art.

"It went well with Kelvin overseeing the fence installation. Because of his sincerity, I hired his company to complete my deck which had been started by another person. "They gave us an estimate on 03/22 and we agreed on 04/04.  They started work on 04/11, with the removal of the existing brick patio and the flower garden,  They poured a concrete base, bringing both these areas to the same height as the sidewalk.  They then built a dry-stack stone enclosure on the front and side of our porch, and installed the square cut flagstone cap on the entire area.  Finally, they built an area of concrete, about four inches wide, to transition from the driveway to the new flagstone area.  This was done in about four days of work, including one day when they had to build a tent-like structure over the work site to shield them from the rain,  The entire crew was courteous, neat, and professional.  We would recommend their service to anyone."

"Not a smooth job, unfortunately. Stan had challenges retrieving photos I texted and emailed him, and we played phone tag a few times. Had communication problems nailing down an appointment for an estimate followed by the day of work to be done. A formal estimate arrived after the work had started and was higher than the verbal estimate, and when questioned he honored the original price. His handyman was friendly enough and knowledgeable but did a rather sloppy job with the grout and refused to do some touch ups that would have looked polished/finished, claiming they wouldn't have improved performance. He also left behind some equipment. They don't accept credit cards, which I hadn't noticed if it was part of their policy. Maybe I missed it. In all, difficulties with communications and not a professional finished job, in my opinion. Some rough edges that will need to be polished or redone at some point. Unfortunate. It's been difficult to find pros with license and insurance willing to this work."
