Small jobs welcome

"Borja Unique Masonry I highly recommend Borja Unique Masonry for professional and artistic construction in stone. Their work is outstanding and they are very amicable to work with every step of the way. I have dreamed of having a flagstone patio in back of our home for the past few years. When we were ready to have one installed, we went to the Tucson dealer with flagstone on site, chose the color, and asked about installation. They referred us to some local masonry businesses. After meeting with and receiving quotes from a couple, we hired Borja. Mr. Borja was great to work with. He listened carefully to our description of what we wanted. He gave us lots of helpful information about the project, asked us questions about exactly what we envisioned, and was very professional and pleasant in all of our contacts. He kept us well informed each step of the way and always asked if we had any questions or concerns, striving to make sure everything would be just as we wished. The work crew took great care to excavate and prepare the area, checking the slope for drainage as they progressed. We enjoyed watching them place the â puzzle piecesâ to create a beautiful and sturdy patio. The finished patio is beyond our expectations! Itâ s gorgeous and will serve us as an outdoor relaxation and entertainment area for many years to come. Thank you, Borja Unique Masonry."

"Austin and Chris were exceptional. Everything was totally explained, and the work was done in a timely manner. I expected dust and ash escaping into my home but this was not the case. Everything was completed in the given time frame and mow I have a perfectly functioning fireplace that I know is safe. I can't recommend them enough."

"Robert and his crew installed an extended travertine patio, large artificial grass section, built in grill with side burners and fridge, and a firepit. The work was quality and so were the workers. Our job was quite large and complete in 1 1/2 weeks. We had a vague idea of what we wanted going in, and with Robert's input I feel like we made our outdoor living space exactly what we were looking for. I am hypercritical of service providers and I couldn't be more pleased. What a pleasure this experience has been."

"The steel mailboxes in our community are cemented into roadside masonry pillars. Some unknown miscreant apparently ran into my mailbox (but not the post), damaging the mailbox so extensively that I had to replace it. <br> <br>I purchased a larger mailbox, and contacted Sergio Verdugo to install it. I did not seek competitive bids, but just asked him to do the job. <br> <br>Because the new mailbox was larger than the old one, he and his assistant George had to chisel, saw, and jackhammer the concrete pillar to enlarge the hole to house the mailbox. The concrete was hard, about 20 years old, and Sergio complained that it was the hardest concrete he had ever had to deal with. <br> <br>Hours later the job was done and the mailbox was cemented into place. Unfortunately, Sergio did not check in with me to consult about placement of the new mailbox, so it ended up being inserted into the post farther than I would have liked, was slightly cockeyed, and the clean-up was not ideal (some stucco remained on the mailbox)--hence the lower score for "quality." <br> <br>The cost was more than I expected it to be, but most likely that is because of the extra time and labor involved in enlarged the cavity. But I'm a newcomer to the area, and have no feeling for what things should cost. <br> <br>Although I indicated I would use Sergio Verdugo's services again in the future, I will seek competitive bids next time. <br> <br> <br>"

"The steps were totally rebuilt from the frame up to new outdoor carpeting. Not only are the steps now safe, they're stronger and more stable than the original steps were. The quality of work done is outstanding. I would recommend Ronnie's Handyman Service to anyone who needs any level of home repairs done."

"Luis gave me a reasonable quote, far better than one I received from another company. We settled on a day, but later I asked to have that moved forward. He was very accommodating, and flexible. He brought a 32 foot ladder to get up to the parapets, and he and another worker patched 16 cracks, painted over them, and painted the whole top part of the parapets around the entire roof. A few days later, it rained. Was I ever glad we moved the repair up!"

"The service was great. Austin was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. There was no mess to clean up and he was done fairly quickly. We are pending a call back about the parts needed for repairs so we can get an estimate. It has been about 2 weeks since they came out. Other than that I was really pleased with the overall service. <br />"

"They arrived at 5:30 am to avoid the heat.  Immediately started to work no standing around wasting time.  They confirmed the shape of the new driveway, and surveyed the area for regrading,  Pealed up the old asphalt and some agave with the tall stalks that were dead and hauled both away at no extra charge.  they regraded the side of the yard to improve drainage and designed the slope of my drive to improve drainage for better use of monsoon runoff into the front yard.  At the end of the three days of construct they cleaned up no sign of construction clean very clean and professional workers.  It took them three days from start to finish.  My husband was very impressed with the quality of workmanship.  It looks great.  My husband had a question and the owner was available by phone with quick response to any concerns.  The concerns were alleviated promptly.  <br /> I would recommend they to anyone.   <br /> <br /> <br />"

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Marana, AZ

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
