"Austin Wells handled our sinking concrete pad and cracks near my garage. He explained everything, neat, and very professional. My wife and I appreciated how he wore a uniform and conducted himself in as an expert in his field. I would definitely call JES again, in particular, Austin Wells to handle any other concrete leveling issues."

"The estimator, Dennis accommodated my scheduling requests, and changes in the contract, he was there as well, when the resurfacing started. My driveway needed a specific piece of machinery; so they used their subcontractor, which was excellent too. F&M came back 3 days later, backfilled, mulch, and seeded the bare spots, then a rep came by to check on the finished project. I love the look of my driveway now and would recommend F&M to friends and family!"

"Before hiring LevelLift, I contacted a friend of mine who owns a Structural Engineering firm, but only work commercial not residential.  So after receiving at least (5) estimates, we agreed that LevelLift was the company to hire.    <br /> Met with Paul Mauer of Levelift Systems, he was very nice, patient and professional along with his team.  Received a proposal for the work noted below: <br /> The work in the basement  included but not limited too grout beneath concrete, excavate & installed timber walls, <br /> raise window well & installed standard home-improvement store grade cover, raise grade, furnished & installed discharge pipes for down spouts, installed seven steel beams, new interior drainage, repaired damaged mortar joints, installed 12" high cast-in-place concrete curb between steel beams and they took care of all the Montgomery County permits and inspections.  In addition, mobilization, site preparation and  furnished & installed discharge pipe for sump pump. <br /> In addition, Paul recommended a very good Structural Engineer to take care of the structural drawings. <br /> The contract payment terms were broken down into four payments with the option of using major credit cards and we have a ten (10) year warranty. <br /> Paul and his team were very responsive, punctual, and professional and the quality of the work was excellent.  We have not had any problems in the basement since 2013.  They are highly recommended. (A+) <br />"

"JNT was excellent to deal with from start to finish.  Mom was so happy with the work they did! <br /> The owner came out to give an estimate and give a full explanation of the process, and within a couple weeks the job was done. <br /> When the job was done they cleaned the entire alley out to the street! <br />"

"Luke and his team installed 2 patios for me and they did a fantastic job! We are so thoroughly impressed with the quality of work; you can tell that Luke takes pride in what he does and we are just so grateful. From our initial consultation to job completion, the process was professional, smooth and timely. These patios are the first phase of our backyard project and we look forward to working with this company again when we install the next phase."

"I spoke with John at Concrete Slabjacking Inc. this afternoon and described the problem. He mothodically asked me series of questions and then asked me if I could send him some pictures. I texted him the pics over the next minute (since I had sent the same ones to two other vendors) fully expecting no call back from them just like other vendors. Within 15 seconds I had a call back from John. He wanted to know more and he liked my suggestion of Face-Timing him on his cell phone! Within a minute I was facetiming him and within minutes John explained to me it was not a problem I thought it was. It was just a door fixing issue and I would have to call a drywall contractor to get the cracked repaired for a couple of hundred dollars! In times when folks are leveraging every opportunity to cause fear in house owner driving them to do un-needed repair work at high costs- John's prompt and honest response not only saved me lots of $$ but gave us tremendous peace of mind! Such businesses need to be appreciated a lot more than they are. Thanks John!"

"This was a fantastic company! Mr. Stevens is an artist with fencing. Not only are all of our gates, self closing, Mr. Stevens leveled out the area so that they would close and open perfectly. All the vertical slats are perfectly aligned all the way around our yard it matter where the elevation changed. The vegetable garden was fitted with a baffles which has totally foiled pest like raccoons and other animals from getting into the vegetable garden. I love the way my yard looks with the fence because it sets off my flowers perfectly. A fantastic job and a fantastically reasonable price."

"I wasn't happy with him at all. He wanted his money before I had a chance to see the final product. He wasn't honest with me. I told him before he even started the job, I said that job has to be finished when I'm here to see the final product. He agreed to that. Then, the day that he was due to finish, I said, I'm not going to be here. He goes, trust me ma'am, I've been in business blah blah, blah. I'm on Angie's List and my rating is blah, blah, blah. Against my better judgement, I left him a check and the work when I quickly looked at it, it looked alright. upon further inspection, they had messed up and they had put a big hole in the back of the concrete patio. They had fixed it but they did such a lousy job of fixing it, I had to hire another contractor and pay him $200 to fix what they did. The concrete he did for my driveway is already cracking and he just did this work in 2013. I would never recommend him to anybody. He came in over budget which was alright, I accepted that. He did come back to the house. Where I asked him about the area where ti look like he had thrown grout or something in this big hole it had been in, I wish he had told me upfront where we put a big hole in the base of your concrete and this is what we did. He didn't tell me, I found it and asked him about it. I said, I think that should be smooth though and that looks terrible. Oh no, I'd leave it along. I just went and hired a guy that's sort of an all-purpose handyman that I knew. It took him four hours and he charged me $200 to smooth over the big clump of it looked like grout to me that the guy had just put over to cover the big hole. The only nice things I have to say about the man is that when I asked him questions, he did come back to my house and looked at the concrete. He was polite but I just wasn't happy with the work he did."

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Maryland-line, MD

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
