After having some dead ash trees removed between my house and my neighbor?s house, we needed to fill in the large barren space with grass.  I contacted eight different companies and received eight different recommendations, from raising the area with tons of top soil and planting grass seed, to sticking with the current terrain and using sod. 



By far, the most competitive bid for the job came from Eric Rector, owner of Earthworks Lawncare.  His crew made short order of a difficult job.  They removed stump grindings, spread out four tons of top soil (with compost and planter?s mix), and carefully installed 1,100 square feet of bluegrass sod, all for a terrific price of $1,000. 



In addition, Eric provided a recommended watering schedule, so the sod would be nurtured and take hold quickly. Then he called back twice within the first month to make sure the sod was rooting well and staying green and healthy.  



I would highly recommend Eric and his Earthworks crew for any landscaping job for those picky people who want good value and great follow up from a landscaper.
