"My kitchen drain starting leaking the night before I had to leave town. I called John while out of town and arranged an appointment with him the day after I returned. He called before he came and actually got there a little earlier than expected. He had to reassemble drain pipes and replace one metal gasket. It took him about 10-15 minutes for something I tried for 2 hours to fix myself. Would definately call him again. Appreciated his discount for Angies's list memebers. Still wish it would have cost a little less. I haven't had to use a plumber for awhile so I suppose he charged the going rate. <br />"

"He arrived on time and began work. Everything was done well with the exception of one piece. The condensate line needed to be fixed so it didn't angle down prior to exiting the house. He suggested the only idea he could figure out and we agreed to try it. The inspector came out and said that fix wouldn't work. The inspector asked why the plumber didn't just run the line via the joist space. My husband ultimately went under the house, took out what the plumber had done, ran a single length of pipe to the connection, and when the inspector returned, he signed everything off. Wish the plumber had done that because it took a lot less time and was successful."

"A few months ago our furnace fan stopped working.  We weren't sure what the problem was, and called 3-4 HVAC companies to describe the problem and get an idea of possible cost.  It would be VERY easy for an unscrupulous technician to take advantage of a customer who knows little about their furnace.   Some people I called indicated some very expensive things that might be wrong with the unit.  But when I called Air Assurance and mentioned what someone else had said, AA was surprised and said that he din't know why another technician would say this, because it couldn't possibly be the problem with my type of furnace.   AA's price was also lower than others in that he didn't require a separate charge just to come and diagnose.   Anyhow -- he sounded like he was knowledgable and reasonable, so I arranged for AA to come out to our place.  He resolved the problem (it was the fan), and replaced the fan, explaining to me a couple details that were helpful to know.  He was very prompt and worked efficiently.  The price for the new fan was reasonable.  I had asked him about his markup on parts, and while he was working I looked up the price of the exact model of fan he was installing, online.  It completely matched the price he had quoted me (i.e., I was able to verify he wasn't trying to overcharge or manipulate me).   (I had been cheated in the past which was why I was so cautious).   I was very happy with his work.  BUT - that is only the first part of the story. <br /> About 4-5 months later, the furnace stopped working.  I tried changing fuses but that didn't solve the problem.  Finally, I decided to call Air Assurance.  The technician returned, and then reported to me that the fan he had installed a few months ago had failed.  He said it had two different speeds, one for air conditioning, one for heating.  The a/c setting was still working, but the heat setting did not.  He replaced it, and after that all was fine.  But he didn't charge me a penny.     He could so easily have <br />  taken advantage of me, and told me anything and charged us a high price.  But he didn't!   I was very impressed with his integrity.  I also appreciated his quick response, and efficiency.  I would highly recommend Air Assurance as a HVAC company you can trust, that is knowledgeable, curteous, prompt, efficient, and charges reasonable prices.. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Medimont, ID

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
