They were way outside of what other plumbers charge for this service and way outside of what Angi's has listed as average project costs. They did have an opening for next day installation which would have been fantastic but I couldn't justify the additional $2400."

"Einstein Plumbing was great, professional, punctual, & hardworking.  They took care of all the permits and misc. paperwork.  The only downside was that they subcontracted with Felix Septic who (we found out after the fact) had a clause in their contract with Einstein that they were not accountable for any collateral damages.  Basically when Felix brought in their heavy machinery they crushed our paved driveway and refused to fix it.  Luckily for us, Einstein discounted our bill by how much it would cost to fix the driveway (about $1000) and they also repaired 3 damaged cement walkways.  The only reason I gave them a "Fair" rating on Punctuality is because it took them a few months to get back to our place to fix the walkways."

It turned out they had someone finishing a job in my neighborhood and was willing to come by and take a look at the situation. Bryan, the technician, was very professional, courteous, and friendly. It was late afternoon when he came by, and he gave the office the information for a quote, and agreed to stay that evening until the job was done. He arranged for another technician to bring a replacement water heater over so he could continue the prep work while waiting for the new heater. There was no wasted time on the job - Bryan stayed at it until about 9:00 pm when he finished explaining to me how to adjust the water temperature after it heated up.
