Small jobs welcome

"I can’t say enough good things about this company! I called about my water heater and they showed up the same day, within just a few hours. Rile took a look at it, and for some reason it just started working again. The best part? They refused to charge me anything. You don’t find that kind of honesty every day. Amazing customer service, and they’ll definitely be my go-to for anything plumbing related from now on. Thank you so much, Rile. You’re the best!"

"Went great. We have two dual-fuel furnaces, one for upstairs and one for down, gas+electric combos, and on both of them the gas portion finally rusted out. After consulting with them, we decided not to repair the upstairs gas but just let it work as an electric heat pump, but replace the gas part downstairs. I thought their guestimate of $800 for the whole job was a bit much, so I called around to some other places.... $1,000 for the part alone, PLUS labor... I quickly called Hill back and got them to work. They did it quick and easy and I'm very happy with the repair."

"Our gas was abruptly turned off by the city today because of a gas leak in our house. We were told that we needed to have a plumber come out to  perform a pressure test on our pipes to find the leak and repair it before they would turn our gas back on. I called Kirkland Plumbing Service LLC and spoke with Cameron about the issue. Although he had a booked day, he squeezed us in at 4 p.m.  He was to the point, efficient, and informative. His assistance on such short notice was very much appreciated.   <br />"

"This is the second time we have had Cherokee Plumbing do work for us.  As before, scheduling was done via phone call, the crew arrived on time and the work was done in the time they estimated (several hours).  The old corroded pipe was under HVAC duct-work so Cherokee arranged with an HVAC group to remove the duct work so the pipes could be accessed and then re-install the duct work.  After repair the waste pipe they thoroughly tested it, making sure it could handle flow from the upstream sources of waste water.  The crew carefully explained what the had done, were careful to keep the house clean when they went in and out and were polite and professional in their conversations with us. Couldn't ask for more. <br />"

"Hull scheduled Brad to come out the same day I called. He was punctual, polite and professional. He thought through our floor plan to make a great guess on a cut in ceiling to get a good look at the pipes. He tried his hardest to locate the source of the moisture. And although he wasn't able to find a "smoking gun" to solve our problem, he gave us some good ideas of other sources of the moisture (likely not plumbing). We will definitely call Hull again in the future."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Midwest City, OK

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
