I made the big mistake of hiring someone a family friend recommended and they diagnosed it incorrectly and then basically disappeared on me. Anyway, it took a few weeks but they repaired it today and I was impressed with their courtesy and getting the job done very quickly and successfully. I felt like I was being dealt with honestly. "Diagnosis and repair were straightforward and the talented Mike, who has done other great work for us on our ACs, had a replacement pump in his truck. Swapped over in under an hour. Cost of the repair was quite high, mainly due to very high price they charged for the pump. A Taco pump that I could buy for $175 was priced on this repair at more than $500. I get that it was an urgent situation and I’m happy to pay reasonably for the response but that mark-up bothered me. I called the office, had a long talk with the owner; sadly, she offered no consideration at all. Yes, it’s hard to find and keep skilled techs, but now seems that most HVAC firms have a business model like a car dealer’s service dept, far more corporate, less flexible or customer-considerate."

"The installers were great, removed the 70 year old crumbling boiler and all the old valves, expansion tanks etc. and installed the new boiler and hot water tank in just 2 days. They explained what each valve and control did after they finished the installation. No extra charge for removal of the old equipment and they left the basement cleaner than when they arrived."

"It has been awesome. We had a wonderful experience with them. If we had any questions, we could just pick up the phone and call them, and we are always able to talk to somebody. I would recommend them highly. We looked into different plans. We looked at plans for renting or leasing or other features under awning. I think they are a little high, but I think for what we got, the price was reasonable. Obviously, we took the plunge and did it because they were guaranteeing us zero electric bills and eventually, the fact that we would be selling electricity back to the electric company and that we would be making our money back over a period of time. Everything they told us was correct. That is all happening. I think the initial sticker price was a little shocking, but we are recouping our money."
