"Brandan and Eli did a great job with the gas connection. They even painted the pipes black to protect them from rusting! Matt and Jacob arrived first to do all the electrical and they were quick and professional. Overall, great service! I would recommend them. We'll see how the service is now that I have it installed. Hopefully no problems, but if there are I feel confident it will be handled quickly and professionally."

"We couldn't be more pleased with both the quality of the repair and the cost. The plumber, Mark, showed up right on time and diagnosed the leak then gave us an estimate for the work involved. He left to get a needed part...returning about 20 minutes later. He replaced the clean out pipe....completing the job in about a 1/2 hour. Mark was very neat, cleaning up the area completely. I will be using them again....and recommend them highly if you need an excellent, honest, reasonably priced plumber. OUTSTANDING! <br />"

"Daniel diagnosed the problem with my gas dryer, which was left behind by the previous owners of the house. I had an electric dryer, so he took the motor out of that one and put it in the gas dryer. I was thrilled to have it working again. The price was very reasonable and I was extremely pleased. I would recommend him to friends and family. <br />"

"We could not be happier. Absolute Pluming  gave us an estimate, had us pick out ceiling tile. Told us they would bring in licensed contractors where needed. Absolute Pllumbing showed up when they told us they would, removed the drywall. They cleaned up after each major operation. Absolute Plumbing brough in an elctrican who consulted with us and installed the lighting. In the process of this remodeling, the plumber found improper heating instutlion by our builder. in the near future we are having Absolute Plumbing return to make the proper corrections in the heating system."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Montrose, MI

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
