Austin and Rene were my technicians and did a good job installing the new equipment, including an electrical line to the new humidifier and replacing the water lines above the new water heater. It turned out the humidifier wouldn't fit in the original planned location, but they were able to install it on the garage wall directly behind the utility room. Horne also sent out a different technician (Bryan) to perform a follow-up QA inspection about a week after the installation to check everything, apply finishing touches, and make sure the equipment was operating properly. I have used them before and would use them again."

Our comfort level has decreased: We turn our heating down by 7 degrees F at night, but on cold nights the system takes over 4 hours to get back to the set daytime temperature. Acosta says we must not turn the heating down by more than 4 degrees. So we now have to choose between being too warm at night or cold in the morning. Supposed, this is because the unit is so efficient and not over-sized. It is too early to say if the higher efficiency shows up in substantial savings. The installers were on time and courteous. They did, however, leave the work area dirty, with left-over food and drink, and our garden tools strewn about. The crews explanation of the controls and electronic thermostat was rushed (after 6 pm) and inadequate."

"For 2 days I didn't have heat in the upstairs HVAC unit without shutting the unit off in the attic and rebooting it. Reid came and performed multiple diagnostic checks to determine whether it was the "mother board" or the pressure switch. The pressure switch was replaced (still under warranty, 10 years parts and labor) and after 18 hours everything is working normally with the heat. Since Reid was here, I had him clean and check the AC unit for freon and cleaning. I didn't need freon and he cleaned the outside unit and the drain line in the attic Good communications by Reid to me. He was thorough and neat. Total bill with tax was $118.00."
