I thought I had to choose between the high-cost, glossy brochure, licensed & reputable companies OR the cheap, unlicensed, pushy “if you ask for inspections the cost is double” contractors. Arafat quoted a much more reasonable price, gave excellent advice to help us build what would be most useful, never pressured us, and got all the appropriate permits & inspections. We were probably fairly high-maintenance clients, and Arafat was patient and kind, describing options as we went and modifying a ‘normal’ porch set up to reduce pollen so my highly allergic husband & daughters can enjoy the space. We absolutely love our new 3-season porch and pretty much live out here now. I strongly recommend going with Exterior Works for any outdoor project you have in mind."

"We needed a new walkway (or patio) to connect our front porch to the garage (to replace the original quartz stone, board, & flagstone design), a new front porch (since the boards were rotting), and we needed the EverGrain Composite Decking of our back deck power-washed and stained. Deckmaster was the only contractor who could do all three jobs, and the finished product on all three was great, and they gave us a great price. They redid the stairs on the back deck and gave us an extra step on the front porch, both of which we really like. Deckmaster was patient while we got our homeowner's association to approve the design, and they were very responsive and reasonable every step of the way. I'd definitely hire them again and highly recommend."

"Five years ago Rick and his team had completed a full rehab of our deck and we love it. Recently, a material defect occurred and Rick stood by his work when the manufacturer would not. At his expense, he got new material and provided the same great carpenters, (Skip, Gary, and Heracio) as last time and made things right. "So please that I went with JW. The side entry porch had rotted wood throughout and the steps were sagging. Also, exterior house paint had been removed years ago but prior owners did not address one side of house, probably cause it was hidden behind crepe myrtles. Crepe myrtles are now gone and that wall is very visible on the street. Also there were some little jobs needed around the house such as replacing rotted boards above the garage. Got a quote from JW in late April and scheduled the work for the week of July 21 for 6-7 days of work. Two workers showed up promptly on the 21st and did a great job. Very pleased with the JW crew as they kept me posted on the progress throughout the job which was completed in six days. Wish I could post before and after pictures as it looks fantastic"

He was very personable and patient in explaining to me the challenges and his proposed solutions. Out of all the companies we met with prior to selecting a company, HD Exteriors was the most responsive and thorough. Graham, Jr. took his time going over the estimate and scaling the project for us. Once we decided HD Exteriors was who we wanted to build a new screened-in covered porch and deck, they quickly provided a design package for our review. Once we approved it, they took care of all permitting and HOA requirements. It was a seamless process. "We are three projects in with Phoenix and will do more when the budget allows. Cannot say enough great things about their vision and design for our extra large deck and enclosed patio directly below it. We took ‘go big or go home to heart.’ Had not planned on the enclosed patio below but when Clint sent us the mock-up designs we were all in. When I say all in, we did the Trex Signature cable rails with accent lights, straight walkout from upstairs (required a creative roof change), Trex Rain Escape, and custom Eze Breeze windows for the patio. Post completion we went back and asked for a flooring add, exterior walkway add and two more projects are pending our budget. Phoenix delivered as promised, showed up when promised, and stood behind their word. We always knew where we were with the timeline and someone either answered the phone or called us back whenever we reached out. The entire team works great together and their communication skills met every expectation we had. We really could not have asked for better. Highly recommend."
