"Service Professor was up front and honest right from the start. We had our vintage 1985 gas furnace replaced with a 92% efficient new model and air. While they were here they also replaced our water heater ( also 1985 vintage ), and an electrical upgrade. Now were "up to code"."

"A++ Clog-Busters!! We called in the early morning and they were out to our house within a couple of hours. We will definately recommend this company to friends and family! Chris V., the plumber, who was professional and knowledgeable, came to our house and within an hour he had diagnosed, and de-clogged the main drain, and re-set the toilet. He also left our house clean of the debris pulled from the drain. Thank-you!"

"The crew came early and worked into the evening to get the work done for the tankless water heater, gas lines for outdoor grill and gas dryer and water lines to garage for outdoor sink. The crew members work well together and their problem solving is excellent. They have been out 4 times to complete these projects."

"Kand B Mechanical had determined that the previous two estimates for repair on my 20+ year old air conditioner was not completely accurate. The other two larger A/C companies had determined that my current A/C was not repairable and I needed a new one. Both of their estimates for repair was over $3,000.00. The second of the two larger A/C companies was at least honest with me and told me that by replacing my A/C I would not see a return on my investment towards a new one due to the fact we use A/C sporadically in the area. He assumed the first estimate of the part that was needed was true (without checking) and agreed that I would need a new A/C. Also at least the second largest company did NOT charge me $84.00 for an estimate. The first one charged me that amount and called it a service call. When Kand B came over I showed them the two estimates. The owner actually took apart the top of my furnace dealing with the A/C leakage and told me that I did NOT have a leaking drain pan, but the coil above it. He also said having a new A/C I would not see a return on the investment and said he could replace the part that was broken, but also needed to have someone custom make (redo) the top part by remaking the sheet metal in order to divert a drain to the proper place. He also moved my dryer vent that originally was going out under my wood deck. His estimate for performing that service was 1/3 the price of the others. The job took two days due to the sheet metal special order, and both owners came to do the job. I would highly recommend their service, or at least phone them after getting two other estimates."

"The gas insert had additional issues that could not be fixed by the technician. No fault of his own just a classic example of you get what you pay for.  I had to replace the insert at a later date and remove everything he did.  If I knew that he could not get it lit, then I would not of had the service done. <br />"

"I called because the gas was going off when I turned on the gas logs of the fireplace.  He came within the hour on a Saturday, explained and showed what the problem was and how it would be repaired.  He then returned the logs in a nice fashion and cleaned up all debris.  A very satisfactory result all around. <br />"

"Ever since we purchased the house 2 years ago, the gas logs have not worked. We had 3 service calls, all to no effect, until we found Aspen. The two workers stuck with the problem until they figured it out. It required two different trips; they came when they said they would, were very polite, protected the area where they were working and cleaned up afterwards. In the process of their work, the grill on the front of the fireplace was slightly scratched (so they told us--we had not noticed) and they painted it before they left. We were completely satisfied with their work and would strongly recommend them."

"Jason Coleman  (317-965-3673) came to the house to evaluate our site.  We had already had Kinetico out to see what they would suggest and what costs would be involved in repairing or upgrading our system that was installed around 1990.. There was a $100.00 dollar off promotion on the whole  Aquasystems package installed.  <br /> (Kinetico's best price was $1,750 to rebuild our old unit. All other prices even with "$1,000 off" were vastly more expensive).  (Jason is not on a commission as are the Kinetico reps).  Jason was very attentive to our needs, and very professional in his approach.  A friend who does home inspections, Michael Hart, (317-574-9663) recommended we call Aquasystems as they are local and have top of the marketplace equipment.   For example, if the new unit, after its 7 year warranty expires, should need repair, I have instructions showing how to disconnect the control unit, and it can be driven or mailed to the shop in Avon and rebuilt for $75.00.  We like things that are designed maximally as well as easily repairable.  When we moved into this house, it had a Culligan unit that constantly needed repairs.  I called them out to service their unit one last time telling them to use their best parts because if it failed to work properly one more time, it would be out at the curb and replaced.  It failed, and I tossed that unit.  <br /> This installation was outstanding and was done by Mark.  All of the plumbing is beautifully done, and it was done with thought and insight as well.  The two shutoff valves he replaced the Culligan ones with are offset so that if they leak, the drips will not fall on the electronics of the unit.  The lever action shutoffs are simple to use and they work very smoothly.  We chose this unit, the Smart Choice  Gen II because it has a digital screen that shows how the system is performing, when it will need salt added, and also if all of the water faucets are shut off in the house, and there is still flow thru the unit, it will mean that we have an in-house water line leak!  Thus, my wife can open the furnace room door and see how things are running, and she will now be able to shut off the entire house plumbing easily if she needs to. <br /> Mark plumbed in a bypass as well so that we could still get water inside the house even if the Aquasystems unit failed and the controller had to be sent in for repair.   I was impressed with the absolute competence and skill of Mark the installer.  He communicates well, and his end result is picture-perfect.  The only thing I could not find in the owner booklet is where the serial number is located. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Munith, MI

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
