The springs were mismatched because the former company had added a second spring that did not match the first. The door did not operate quietly and smoothly, either - lurching upon starting up and squeaking during movement. Given all of these issues, we decided to replace everything except the door to ward off future problems. Taylor did not charge us for the first call, but instead, logged it as a sales call. Taylor and his co-worker, Matt, came back for the system upgrade because my husband's garage is really crammed, making repairs difficult. The two of them worked together and replaced the system in less than two hours. Both Taylor and Matt were very professional and answered the questions we had. They switched out the new remotes to key chain versions from visor clip-on ones, when we expressed security concerns with the latter. The owner, Dennie, is a very friendly professional and extremely punctual.  He arrived about 2 hours after I called him and was able to fix all issues on the spot with respect to the broken spring and rollers.  While he was there he did a full review of the double door and pointed out that the other unit was failing.  It was not a sales pitch, you could clearly see the broken piece falling off the track.  Instead of repairing it we upgraded our unit to the Liftmaster 8500 wall mount (very cool and very quiet).  Dennie returned the following Tuesday per our agreed upon day and arrival time and installed the unit with no issues.  I have to say he is very hard working, ALWAYS takes your phone call and is very friendly.  He treated my wife with respect and answered all of our questions.

I am in banking and very analytical... I do not make rash decisions...  and this was a very good decision in choosing Garage Door Express.
