"Awesome.  They came out on time, to begin with.  Then, upon removing the old shower doors, they discovered a bunch of gross mold that had collected/grown in the area between the old metal frame and the shower (the bottom).  They thoroughly removed and cleaned the whole area of all the mold -- when they were done, you couldn't tell it had ever been there.  Then they installed the new door, which looks fantastic.  Given proper drying time, this will probably be the last shower door we ever need or want in our master bathroom.  They left our bathroom the way they found it -- clean ... but with a sweet new door instead of the old, nasty, door.  Very, very pleased with the work."

"William from Boston Windows was exceedingly professional and up front. I called him for a quote to replace the windows in my townhouse. He was able to come to my house the next day to take measurements. He has been doing installations since he was 16 and had alot of knowledge. Prior to the visit, he had me send some photos of my windows to try to gage the price of the job better as well. Long story short, Mr. Boston tried to price match one of my quotes for me, but there ended up being a problem with the way my windows were cut in the townhouse on the outside, which would have increased the cost of the job by several hundred dollars because he has to pay staff to do it (vs. the other company, whose labor is all in-house). In other words, he couldn't match the price after all because I was already offered a discount from the other company and the job was so complicated. The other window companies would not have paid attention to the level of detail Mr. Boston had specified, but I ended up making my decision due to budget reasons. Mr. Boston even went and looked at my neighbor's windows to compare the architecture (since town houses are supposed to be built the same). Mr. William did not pressure me in a sale like some other companies and was up front about the cost and what I was going getting myself into if I went with X, Y, or Z. He told me flat out, that if the other similar company could keep everything in-house and could cut me a really good deal, I should go with them. Because of that, I really appreciate it. I would recommend giving BWD windows a chance if you are on the market for windows; he will try his best to work with the prices, being a one-man shop. If you have a really complicated job that would significantly affect the functioning of your house however, I would also recommend having his expertise on the job. I will be calling him if I ever need a repair on a window or door down the line."

"They did a great job with the installation. My only issue was that I got "scolded" for making multiple Angi's list submissions, one for shower door and one for screen doors. I was unaware that District Capital Glass does both, so whoever I spoke to was upset because they pay a finders fee. I thought it was fairly unprofessional and could have been handled differently, I offered to pay the finders fee, but he said "it was ok". Anyhow the rating was for the work performed, again, they did a GREAT job with the shower door. Ultimately, he forgot to measure for the screens and we decided to move on to someone else."

"The shower door is beautiful! They were prompt, professional and responsive. And, they really stand by their work. They originally installed a small chrome connector at the bottom of the door which was aesthetically pleasing, but after some time the door had some slight movement. River Glass Designs came right back out, removed the connector and installed a different type which is guaranteed not to move at all. We couldn't be happier and definitely recommend this company."

"I immediatly contacted Royal Glass and they quickly scheduled me at a location near my job (Beltsville, MD). The chip repair took about 40 mins and cost $70. I completely forgot to use my Angie's List coupon, so it would've been $25 less! The customer service was EXCELLENT and they even vacuumed the inside of my car free of charge! Ask for Russ....he's the best!

"They were terrific, and measured precisely with laser devices for exactness. I was impressed with that. Two installers came out, and they seemed highly skilled. I also appreciated their attention to detail and making sure everything was put in just right - they were even careful with the silicone caulking. I appreciated how they covered everything to protect it, and cleaned up after themselves. Very detail oriented."

"Overall, they were good. My conclusion first so the rating is explained up front: All in all, we're very happy with the bathrooms and the work - and they make sure to take care of every issue/punch list item before asking for final payment - but the lack of communication really bothered me to the point where I need to give them a B. Things started off great - they came in, took a look at the bathrooms, asked us a lot of questions, and gave us suggestions that other contractors did not even bother to think about. We liked that. The price was perfect, too. We weren't looking for luxury, but middle of the line, and the price was in our expected range. The follow-up was perfect, too. We went to the showroom the next week, spent hours picking out what we wanted, and they wrote up the scope and contract signed that day. So far, so good. Work started on the day promised. The subs who were there were very responsive and mostly did a good job at keeping things as clean as possible, except for that one day I came home to a layer of dust and dirt literally all over my apartment (I'm not exaggerating, it was terrible) was not a good day - and even after complaining about it, no one offered to clean it. Putting that aside, the guys doing the work were real good. The big issue for me was communication - emails don't get returned/responded to and I found that many times I had to call a number of times before I got someone to call me back. This is the most frustrating. Another issue was that contract allowed 8 weeks of work. When the first bathroom took 5 weeks, I asked if the second bathroom would take 3 or less and was told that whomever wrote up my contract got it wrong. Really?? I had already raised the timeline flag in the middle of the 3rd and 4th week when it was obvious the first project wasn't going to be done in time, but got no response from KBR about it. Lastly, I don't know if this was an ordering issue or what, but the company they get the glass from stinks. Took forever to get the mirror installed and the glass doors for the master shower (not to mention they gave us the wrong doors)."
