"It was ok. He didn’t seem to grasp the importance of a time schedule having had to reschedule once and then showing up early twice when I wasn’t home. He did come back to correct something that I had requested, so that was good. I never got a detailed description of what he diagnosed and replaced as requested. This was important since it was an insurance claim and now the claim has been denied for lack of evidence. So now I’m out the money for repairs. I may hire him again but I won’t be asking Lowe’s to deliver and install anything any time soon."

"<p>Mr. John Sherlock arrived at the time and date specified to give us an estimate.  He returned the following day with his assistant and performed the job in one day.  He installed 26 copper lightning rods on the flat roof of our 7,000 square foot home.  These rods were connected with 500 feet of heavy duty copper cable and were grounded at three points with ground rods going down through the drainpipes into the ground. All parts of the system were securely attached to the roof.  He did a neat job and cleaned up all excess materials.  We were very pleased with the job him did.  Since installation of the lightning rod system we have had no trouble with lightning striking the house or causing power outages or surges.</p> <br />"

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"It took some rounds of phone tag to make contact with Joe, and he told me it would be a while before he could get back to me.   A month passed before I heard from him again, but when I did he scheduled his visit promptly.   He showed up when he said he would, gave me a quote, ordered the needed parts, and did the work promptly and at the quoted price.   I can't yet confirm the quality because I haven't refilled the tub, but on visual inspection, all looks good.   My only real complaint is the month that went by between initial contact and the estimate visit.  He did warn me it would be some time because he was busy, but either a more precise estimate or some intervening contact would have been nice. <br />"

"Mr. LaPlace returned my call fairly promptly. We set a at time when he would come to evaluate the problem. He arrived a little early. Mr. LaPlace determined that the newest light was all right. He replaced a part on one of the others and that is now operating as it should. We were not certain about the third. We determined that we would not mess with it now and see how it works for a few weeks. I will have him back to replace that light in the spring when it is warmer and safer to climb the ladder."
