"Called Muddy Water Plumbing, to fix a broken pipe under my house. Talked to a gentleman named Alan. He was very friendly and polite over the phone. Once he heard the details. He said he would be out as soon as possible. One hour later he showed up to my house. Once under the house. He found multiple bakes. Not only did he replace and fix what was needed. He also winter proofed the pipes. I would recommend Muddy Water Plumbing To everyone. Very friendly. Affordable pricing. Reliable and fast acting. And a matter fact, I called him back out two more times. Replace a water heater and fix a leak under my sink."

"I can’t say enough good things about this company! I called about my water heater and they showed up the same day, within just a few hours. Rile took a look at it, and for some reason it just started working again. The best part? They refused to charge me anything. You don’t find that kind of honesty every day. Amazing customer service, and they’ll definitely be my go-to for anything plumbing related from now on. Thank you so much, Rile. You’re the best!"

"Well, after a few weeks, we notice that the gas smell was starting to come back. We called them back and they came out for free to look at it again. This time they said there's not much they could do except to replace the valve. And since the valve is behind a brick wall, that's going to it take some work. I told them that I'd open up the wall behind the fireplace, in the back room, and see if we can get to it that way. I haven't done much with it since, we just decided to use it as a regular fireplace and forget the gas logs anyway. But I've actually stopped by their office a couple times with other questions and they've always given me good advice. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. They seem like a good company. <br />"

"Cherokee Plumbing was recommended to me by my awesome heat and air contractor, AireServ,  who discovered a leak in my hot water heater while he was working on  my heater winter heater checkup. I was advised by several folks that "patching" a leak in a 15 year old water heater was not advisable.... It was time to replace it. So I called several plumbers, as well as Cherokee Plumbing. <br /> From the get-go, it was clear Cherokee Plumbing was a notch or two above the others. I filled out online requests for information and/or service and/or estimates at several plumbers. I heard back immediately by email and phone from Cherokee --- and never heard from the others. <br /> So I spoke to Mary at Cherokee and she was frank, informative and very knowledgeable. And even though I called several more times with questions and changes to my schedule, she was always awesome, professional and helpful. <br /> On the day of my appointment, two young gentlemen from Cherokee were on time, clean, polite, helpful and on the job immediately, keeping me informed every step of the way. James and Aaron were complete professionals and gave me a quote that was well-below what I had been told the cost might be. I was surprised to hear that not only did they give me a quote, but they could do the work the same day or another, if I preferred. Once I okayed the work, they left to get the parts needed and returned in a very timely manner. They informed me that they would do some of the work and that the owner of the company, Colin, would come by to complete the work and check their work. Colin did come over to complete the work. He, too, was refreshingly professional and kept me informed throughout the process. He also told me that although James and Aaron were completely capable of installing the hot water heater, he preferred to personally complete and check the biggest jobs so his customers always know they are getting the best, personal customer service they deserve. And finally, I ended up talking to Mary again to pay over the phone for my new hot water heater from Cherokee Plumbing. <br /> A few things if you plan on using this company (which I recommend you do): <br /> 1.Get ready to be surprised by the professionalism. <br /> 2. They will encourage you to call if there if ANY problem after their work is completed. They will come out and make it right. (This is why I waited almost a week before posting a review. But everything with the hot water heater and its work at my home is great.) <br /> 3. Payment is expected at the time of work. <br /> 4. You will most-likely want to recommend any plumbing problems to Cherokee Plumbing. <br /> I am so very happy they were referred to me and that I hired them. I will definitely hire them again when I need a plumber! <br /> Thank you to Cherokee Plumbing, especially Colin, Mary, Aaron and James, for your help and professionalism! <br />"

"We had an great experience with Hull Plumbing. I requested a quote through Angie's List and, less than 10 minutes later, Jennifer called to discuss our plumbing issue. She was able to get us on the schedule the next morning. Steve L. came out to do the work. Steve was friendly and very knowledgeable. He diagnosed and fixed our overflow issue by snaking our drain pipe. Steve also took time to explain his findings and recommendations if anything would come up in the future. Since the issue was related to our laundry drain pipe, he ran two drain cycles on our washing machine before leaving (the first was a small load as we'd had previously set, but he ran a large load next) to ensure that he'd fully resolved our plumbing issue before he left. We really appreciated that he cleaned up the area from the work after he was done. Highly recommend and will use again!"

"For the initial call in February, I had found a leak behind the tub/shower in one of my bathrooms. And, also noticing that there were multitude of various types of piping, I asked the plumber at that time to completely replace the tubing behind the tub/shower with PEX. His attitude was professional but respectful. He even was patient enough to answer all of my questions, as I was watching what he was doing not because I am a micromanager but because I had never seen the PEX tubing before and was interested in its performance and properties. He said he would have to come out a second and final time to finish putting up the faucet, handle, and shower head after the wallboard and tile are installed. The second visit involved replacing the outside faucet for the back of the house because the pipe had burst within the wall. Again, I watched him for a bit to see how an outside faucet is installed. He took the time to really clean out the stuff inside the hole around the old faucet and properly filled it in with brick mortar. He is very efficient with his time and does the work quickly but thoroughly. The last visit, yesterday, was to finish putting the shower handle, showerhead and tub faucet on. After he had told me that there was dust and residue inside the tub drain, I told him I didn't have time to clean it up before he arrived and that I would do it after he left. I didn't watch him do all of the work this time {grin} so when I came back to answer a question he had, I noticed he had cleaned all of it out! I was extremely impressed with not only his plumbing knowledge and skills, but his respect for my house in that he cleaned up after his work was complete. In this visit, he also replaced the outside faucet on the front of the house. When he first showed up, he asked me what was the other thing I wanted to have him do while he was here. I told him the front outside faucet's thread is messed up to the point where I couldn't tighten a garden hose all the way; it seems to stop about midpoint. He tried it with a piece of hosing he had, while cleaning dirt out from the thread on the faucet, but this didn't work well either. He then noticed two small knicks in the thread that he thought was causing the inability of the hose to properly connect. As with the back outside faucet, he took the time to really clean out the old silicone (there was alot of it!) and ensure the hole was wide enough to allow installation of the new faucet and inside piping. He then cleaned up and took away all of the silicone and other debris from the outside faucet replacement. I can't say enough about this plumber and the company. All calls were taken with respect and asked me questions to ensure they understood what work needed to be done. This is a very thorough, knowledgeable, and respectful company!!"

"I woke up to no hot water, when I checked it I found the pilot light was out; after lighting it, the heater would kick on the flames would dance around and then everything would go out again. Normally I'd go to Angie's list when looking for a new tradesman, but my neighbor had recently recommended the Plumbing Company too me and I decided to give them a shot. When I talked to Craig at The Plumbing Company and explained what was happening he told me it was probably an easy fix, likely the ceramic filter just needed cleaned; I set-up an appointment for that evening as he agreed to come after I got off work. I got home right as Craig was getting to my house; when we went and looked at the water heater I immediately noticed there was standing water in the drain pan (not good), after a quick inspection he confirmed I would need a new water heater. We set-up an appointment for the next evening when I got home from work. I could've set an appointment for earlier and would've felt completely comfortable leaving Craig alone to work, but I am somewhat handy and since this is something I'd never had any experience with before I wanted to watch and try to learn as much as I could. Craig came over the next evening right on time, I watched as he Installed the heater and all the fittings. He was very knowledgeable showed me what was going on and explaining what he was doing whenever I asked. Craig had the old unit removed and the new unit installed in just a couple of hours. I've now had the unit for a couple months and I couldn't be happier. I'd highly recommend The Plumbing Company and plan to use them again to move plumbing when we renovate our bathroom soon."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Newcastle, OK

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
