"When my A/C system went out, my home warranty company (Old Republic) called Modern Mechanical to do the service call.   On the initial call they identified the fan motor was busted, and came back to replace it later that week after ordering the part... but they could not mount it properly because the bottom bracket was rusted out.  At this point I inquired about replacing the whole unit (25 years old, well past its useful lifespan).  While the home warranty wouldn't cover full replacement, Modern Mechanical did give me a complete estimate for a replacement heat pump and air exchanger, including a discount for parts/labor covering the work already done on the old unit.  The estimate was fair and based on the quality of their work done so far I went ahead with it.  They hauled away the old unit, installed the new one, custom-cut the duct work to fit, fully sealed and insulated all joints, ducts and piping, and tested the new unit before signing off on it.  The repair team was prompt and thorough, did a good job with the estimate, equipment recommendation and installation, and I would definitely recommend them for this type of major HVAC installation project."

IRE answered every question and explained a part that needed replaced. He showed the old part and it's voltage that was deficient then the new part and the proper voltage for our unit. He was Extremely Professional and Knowledgeable. We even decided to have him/his company to return again in the Spring to service our air conditioning. "Our 2.5 ton upstairs A/C was leaking coolant, so we opted to replace it. Since downstairs unit is a Carrier, we picked Pope's to bid for the job, as they were listed by Carrier, had good marks on Angie's list, and were locally owned. Pope's Air responded the same day we called, and Tim Stewart came in the afternoon, and spent over an hour describing our options and costs. We received a competitive bid, and selected Pope's Air for the work. Our previous supplier had replaced our downstairs unit a couple of years back, and had put in a unit which stressed our ductwork, causing a whistle when loaded. Pope's Air volunteered to have a look at that problem, too, included at no charge. Pope's Air scheduled and came on time the following week. It took a day to do the work, and the installers were clean and professional. They came up with an inexpensive fix in the cold air return ducting, and implemented it. No more whistle. In the upstairs unit, they discovered some crushed ductwork which our previous supplier had ignored and replaced about 20' of ducts, all for a very reasonable upcharge. The A/C works fine, w/ a better airflow, and they will return for an inspection once the weather warms enough to exercise the unit. We plan to use Pope's Air for all of our Heating and A/C needs in the future. Highly recommended."
