"Needed a leaking pipe fixed and hot water tank replaced, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the experience. From the moment I called, they were prompt, courteous, and professional. Andrew arrived on time, quickly diagnosed the issue, and explained everything clearly before starting the work. He was efficient, cleaned up after the job, and ensured everything was working perfectly before leaving. The pricing was fair, with no hidden costs, and the quality of work was top-notch. I highly recommend"

"My furnace broke down and called them. Note this was about 6pm to boot.  A repairman my self and had fixed this furnace before. It was clearly time for a new one. So I know he was not trying to just get the job.  <br />  They came to look at furnace in a few hours.  We decided to replace it.   They came back the next day with the new furnace and in just 4 hours the job was finished.  <br />"

"I have had enough of working on my old outdated plumbing so I decided to call in a pro. After a few quotes Norton’s came in reasonable and timely. Nortons plumbing installed my laundry tub and drainage system in my basement. They provided vast knowledge on the products that not only I could choose from but also the Benefits from and cons from each one. I will definitely be calling again when another issue arises."

"During a conversion from a 2-family to a single-family home, the gas pipe to the dryer in the basement was overlooked and not connected to the gas lines associated with the remaining gas meter. Z&R connected the dryer to the gas line. They also removed a newer kitchen faucet from the 2nd floor kitchen sink and installed it onto the first floor kitchen sink. Additionally, the replaced the water shut-offs on the 2nd floor sink so that I could demo that sink and counter area entirely. They had the work done within a few hours. All of this was done 9 months ago, and I haven't had a single issue since then."

"We called and the company repaired immediately. They came to our office discover the problem with our heating system and repaired it the same day even though a part had to be ordered and secured."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Niagara Falls, NY

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
