"The plumber, Jesse, is outstanding. He is a complete professional. He dug up my yard, replaced the PVC, and restored the yard to where you were unable to tell it was disturbed. He is a great communicator - keeps you fully informed of what is going on. I was lucky to have him fix my very bad leak."

"Jesse answered the phone early on a Monday morning courteously and professionally. I was scheduled for a same day quote. Jesse called back after I scheduled to say he'd moved his schedule around to have people out earlier than planned. We are a large family and had no running water, he went above and beyond. His team arrived, diagnosed and repaired the well-pump in an hour."

"<p>Late Sunday night, I had to turn off the water.  My floor was vibrating and making an odd humming noise.  It wasn't the air conditioner or central vacuum system. It stopped when I cut off the water to the house. I called Bentleys at seven Monday morning. I told the person it was not an emergency, my water was shut off, but I needed a repairman. He told me that a pipe had probably split and water was hitting the floor.  He the next available plumber would work me into his schedule. It might take three hours, and repairman would call me.  At 10:15, a repairman called and asked when it would be convenient for him to arrive.  I told him that I was at home.  He was there in twenty minutes.  He turned on the water, slightly, to locate the leak, turned it off, and repaired the leak.  He was profession.  It took approximately twenty minutes.  I thought the charge was fair.</p> <br />"

"Environmental Testing & Research Laboratories, Inc. sent a package with 2 vials and instructions for collecting the samples.  I collected the samples as instructed, completed a questionnaire, and returned the sample vials as instructed.  A week or two later they sent the analysis.  Everything went as expected.  There were no problems. <br />"

"We have used Brittingham's for many years and will continue to do so into the future. Mr. Brittingham and his team have done excellent work on a variety of projects, both big and small. His price is fair and the job is completed as described. He also stands behind his work and has immediately returned when a repair didn't last. <br /> <br />"

"He offered some help over the phone even though he wasn't even in my state. Somehow I ended up with his number and he offered to help me just because I had called. This is the type of person you want working in your home."

"Went wonderfully. Initially someone came out to see what the problem was and then determined what parts were needed. When the repair person returned to fix the appliances, he was friendly and professional and cleaned up after the repairs which did not take long at all. Very pleased and everything works very well now. The only small glitch was, on the first day, I was given a window of time when they'd come and they got hung up with another job and didn't make it. I would have liked a phone call letting me know about the hold-up. The next visit the repairman came right on time and the rest of the experience was so positive, I felt like it made up for the glitch in communication. Will definitely use them again."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in North Augusta, SC

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
