"A neighbor had some work done by 7th State and I watched their progress, so I asked the neighbor for their contact. I had a small porch replaced by a screened porch. The original porch was wood and starting to dry rot, and was slippery in rain and snow. I met with Anthony in February for an estimate and to tell him what I wanted. The County permit process and requirements for improvement went on until September -- an 8 month wait. They required me to plant trees and shrubbery simply to replace something already there, OR pay a fee to not plant trees and shrubbery. Ashley in the office helped me through this and kept me advised of the progress toward getting it started. Work began on September 10, ended mid October. Each step had to be approved by the permit office. The workmanship and finished product are outstanding. Neighbors have complimented me on the improvement. Some workers worked up until 7:00pm to finish their part of the project. I would recommend this contractor to anybody."

"Everything was excellent. The team identified the hole in our pool liner. On the day of replacing the liner, identified a potentially severe issue with the structure of the pool. Provided a recommendation for a replacement pool. Proceeded to remove the old pool and excavate the land in preparation for construction of the new pool. Once the new pool arrived, they constructed the pool and constructed new outline landscaping around the pool. We are now the envy of our neighbors who have all watched and gazed in amazement at our new backyard oasis. For all of your pool needs, this is who you need to contact ASAP."

"Excellent. We have been customers for more than 10 years and I have no hesitation in recommending The Pond Doctor. Mark and his team really care about their work and customer satisfaction. Mark is very responsive - he answers queries within hours, and brings a calm demeanor to every discussion about the pond, the aquatic plants or the fish. He explores potential root causes of an issue, presents solution options with cost implications and offers a reasoned recommendation. He never goes to the most expensive solution first, but he does give an honest, professional opinion of what he thinks will work best. He also checks back to see how things worked out. I have never been disappointed. His team is knowledgeable, always willing to educate about pond and fish care. We have been very pleased with this service!"

"If you need to replace your underground oil tank, then you're freaking out about the expense and possible catastrophic complications.   So do yourself a favor and call Willard.    This wonderful family company makes everything easy.

Our very positive experience started with the initial visit by Josh.    Then company owner Billy Willard answered all our many questions.   Considering the options, we decided to purchase a Roth tank.    Not just more compact than other brands, it also has a 30-year warranty.   Willard is the only company in Virginia certified to install Roths.

Our work was scheduled quickly.    Willard called Miss Utility and also our county -- we didn't have to do a thing.   The Roth tank fit neatly into our garage and Billy and his crew took great care with every detail of its complicated installation.    The removal of our underground tank went really well too, even though the tank turned out to be quite deep.    Frank and Josh worked very carefully to expose but not damage the old tank, and to transfer oil into the new tank.    Then the old tank was prepared so the residual oil could be pumped for recycling.    We hadn't even realized this step would take place, because Willard had made all the arrangements.   Next the tank was lifted and soil samples were taken.      Then, using a truckload of fill Willard supplied as well as the excavated soil, the enormous hole was filled, carefully graded and sown with grass seed.

You can imagine how many heavy vehicles were in motion to accomplish all this, yet there was not the slightest damage to our fence, landscaping, driveway or house.

Meanwhile, Tim was connecting the new Roth tank to our furnace, working with ingenuity around the maze of ducting. pipes and wires in our basement.   He wasn't satisfied until he was sure the connection was perfect.

We thought the entire crew was awesome, and that opinion was validated when the county fire inspector approved everything they'd done.   The Willards and Josh Delaney were not just expert, they were really friendly and considerate.    It was a pleasure to have them around,  They turned what had been a huge nightmare into a perfectly executed solution.

"Travis and his team deserve more than 5 stars; we can't say enough positive, good things about our experience! Our yard/landscaped areas had become completely out of control with overgrown shrubs, roots emerging from removed trees, and weeds galore. After speaking with Travis on the phone, he arrived to do a thorough assessment of needs and provided an estimate within a day. He and his team arrived promptly on the scheduled day of service, and worked diligently from early morning till late afternoon, removing and/or trimming bushes/branches, weeding, edging, mulching, and transforming our "jungle" into areas that we can once again enjoy! What an amazing group! Extremely professional, courteous, respectful, and hard-working. We look forward to working with Travis again as we make plans to redesign some of our bedding areas for new planting and continued maintenance. Outstanding service and customer care; thank you, Travis and team!"

"Hired them in April 2019 to level and reseal patio pavers with polymeric sand. Job looked okay at first, but shortly several voids starting showing in the sand and some pavers started to settle, which is not unusual or unexpected. Sent them pictures at their request and they said they would return and repair the problem areas. I marked the voids and uneven areas with tape to make it easy for them to locate the voids. I also asked that they call to schedule the repair so that I could be there. After over 2 months of inquiries and waiting, someone showed up when we weren't home and did the repairs. Some additional voids have since appeared. If they had come when I was home as requested, I would have simply asked for them to leave a little poly sand so I could fix an additional settling without having to bother them."

"The price was competitive, there was a minor hickup in installation and the install took longer than expected, but overall things went well and now after almost a year, I can say the sump pump is working well and is much quieter than my prior model.  We intend on using them again once we move to install a similar set-up in our new home.

"Great to work with Vance and his sons from the start. No issues with scheduling or providing the estimate. Discussed details and questions at length and work was started and completed as advertised. Cleaned up each day as required and provided high quality work. Looks great. Price was in the ballpark of other estimates from reputable professionals. Would definitely hire again for future work."

"The first appointment was missed due to miscommunication. I got an email, then a phone call, made an appointment, then the worker never showed up and they said I hadn't confirmed the appointment, even though I talked to the scheduler on the phone and confirmed it! Calling back was sometimes difficult as the answering machine would not pick up, or only after a long time. So I can't give them a great grade for responsiveness or punctuality. Once they did get the worker out to my house, he did the work quickly and efficiently, so no problems there. For the small amount of work needed, I probably could have hired someone for just an hour for less, but everything offered in the deal was provided."
