"Joe at Besco came out, gave me several options at various price levels. No pressure in the sales and Joe provided good suggestions for addressing the shortcomings of the system being replaced - particularly related to adding additional return air because my existing plenum is undersized. I ended up selecting a variable speed furnace with a two stage heating system. The variable speed furnace is also supposed to improve efficiency and comfort for the a/c in the summer. The system inside the house (summer only) seems to operate significantly quieter than the prior one, and in a relatively small home, that matters. Too early to say on electrical savings with weather being relatively cool this summer and lack of time to compare, but I do like using the variable speed - always on - fan system. The installers did good work. It was not an easy job. The furnace and coil are situated in a tight closet with other appliances and truly insufficient room for all of the equipment, pipes and ducting that must go in there and the condensing unit is basically five stories up internal stairs. The work took a full business day but at the end, everything worked - I had my Nexia Thermostat programmed soon after the installers left. Due to the tight setup, one tube for the humidifier was too short and required a second visit. Because I don't need the humidifier in the summer it didn't bother me. The sales rep, Joe personally fixed it when he returned for a post installation follow up meeting. The products I bought were eligible for rebates from utility companies. The crew at Besco takes care of the rebate process for you, which is a nice touch. I had 3 highly rated companies on Angie's List provide bids for the work. Besco's price was the lowest of the 3 and they did a nice job and installed top quality equipment. Hopefully I don't have to test out the warranties."

Steve is a highly reputable person and explains things easily for people not in the Heating & A/C industry. He is very straight-forward with his quote and doesn't try to pressure or scare you into purchasing something you do not need. Their 10-year labor warranty is also very impressive, and they stand behind their work. A couple of weeks prior, they were able to take a look at my old furnace right away despite having tons of calls due to the first cold snap of the year. The furnace install only took about three hours and was smooth as can be. The installer took great care in making sure floors were protected when hauling equipment in and out of the house. He also made sure to repair some ductwork that extended off the furnace. My suggestion is to make sure you call Home Comfort Systems if you need service or replacement of your furnace and/or air conditioning."

"We first contacted Lifeline back in 2016, when we ran into several issues at once with our furnace and our water heater and were looking for a comprehensive check. At that time, we signed up for the Lifeclub, and boy are we glad we did. When we'd purchased our home in 2016, the furnace was 13 years old and on its last leg. Travis has come out 2 times to do routine maintenance, and kept the furnace alive for an extra 2 years. Of course, when our furnace finally did go, it was during a cold snap, the week between Christmas and New Year's, and immediately before we had to leave town. We were terrified we'd be out of luck getting the furnace replaced on such short notice, but Travis made it happen! He reviewed our options with us, and shot us straight on what we needed. When discussing a high-efficiency option, Travis pointed out that for the time we're expecting to remain in our home (5 years) and the size of our home (1600 sq. ft), we wouldn't see the return on investment. He did help us pick a more efficient, but more cost-effective model for only $100 more than the base model. The crew started extra early following Travis's visit, showing up at 7 AM to make sure we would be on time for our travel. We were told that furnace install would take approximately 4 hours. The guys were in and out in about 2. All-around, I could not have asked for a better experience. It's never fun to replace a major appliance, but using Lifeline minimized the pain.
