"I made an furnace inspection in a house I had purchased. Milo responded quickly and by the time he arrived (on time) my furnace had stopped working. He diagnosed the problem and fixed other other potential problems. He he was organized, compitent and friendly. He is coming back this week to install an air filter which the furnace lacked. He figured out a good solution to a fairly complicated deck roof attachment to the house. When I complained about uneven stair rise, he didn't hesitate to completely rebuild the steps to our satisfaction. "Colton performed the initial estimate at our house. At the time, we had a rough idea of the design we were going for, but weren't exactly sure how the pieces were going to fit. Colton was very supportive and easy to talk to (as he was throughout the project), and while he didn't take notes, he was a very good listener and later itemized all the things we were looking for in an email. This email became the basis for the contract later on. We had several other bids to choose from, and eventually chose Kitchen Visions for a number of reasons. Primary among these were the fact that Colton was extremely easy to talk to and reassuring (this was our first major remodel), the price was very competitive, and the time frame was very fast and started soon. Once the project started, Sean entered the picture and ended up doing most of the work. Since he lives on the Kitsap peninsula, the work in the house was concentrated in a few very long work days followed by several days where nobody came by. The project estimate was about five weeks, but all of the work in my house was done in about 8 or 10 days. Sean built the cabinets off site, so it wasn't as if no work was being done at all, but I wasn't always kept abreast of what was going on. As I explained to Colton later on, it would have been helpful to have a tentative schedule at the outset about what to expect. The work that was subcontracted out included electrical, drywall, and flooring. The electrical and drywall work went smoothly for the most part. The flooring was another matter. The flooring subcontractor they used failed to show up on numerous occasions throughout the project, to the point where they had to find a new contractor to complete the project. I waited to write this review for a few months to see how the kitchen worked for us, and I must say that we are quite happy with it. Any minor annoyances that happened throughout the project are a distant memory, because we're so satisfied with the work day-in and day-out. There was a lot of attention to detail, and quality of craftsmanship is on full display. Both Sean and Colton are very hard workers, and we appreciated it. The only gripes I had are relatively minor and had more to do with scheduling and communication than quality of work."

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
