"The team from phone call to installation of a gas heater was a good experience for us. The installation team was very pleasant, polite, effiicient with their timing, installing, explaining, and courteous. Our heater went out over the New Year, and we were without heat for 3 1/2 days. Upfront helped us by bringing out space heaters to keep us from freezing. *5Stars* We recommend this company. "

"Avoid Craig's plumbing like the plague. Craig is a decent plumber, but his supporting cast overcharges by delaying and avoiding bids and then showing up to do the job and write their own check. I was overcharged $6,000 on a water line connection alone."

"If you’re looking for a contractor who’s fair, upfront, and someone who’s looking to go above and beyond, Brad is your guy. I hired him to take on a small project, cutting a hole in my foundation for an egress window. I’m fortunate enough to have a decent amount of experience in the trades and Brad’s pricing was fair and well priced. He was willing to help me with a smaller project that most contractors would pass on. I was surprised, he was extremely attentive and asked many questions to ensure that the job was done exactly how I wanted it. Before he started the job and charged me, he ensured that the window I had bought would fit correctly, that I had bought all the right materials to do the job after he made the cuts, and measured multiple times inside and outside prior to cutting. I felt very confident the job was going to go well and after everything it was perfect. He even made sure the window fit and I was satisfied. I can’t say enough good things about this guy. "

"I couldn’t be happier with the plumbing services from Express Home Services! From the moment I called, their team was professional, responsive, and courteous. The plumber arrived on time, clearly explained the issue, and quickly resolved a major leak under our sink. The quality of work was top-notch, and they left everything clean and tidy afterward. What impressed me most was their honesty—no upselling, just straightforward solutions at a fair price. It's rare to find such trustworthy and efficient service these days. I highly recommend Express Home Services to anyone needing fast, reliable plumbing help. They’ve earned my trust, and I’ll definitely call them again for future home needs. A++ service all the way!"

"I hired them to install a heater in my garage, including running electrical. They had to cut drywall. They didn?t clean up an of the floor prior to leaving, having left dust and debri on the floor. I wanted them to also install/replace some switches and outlets in my home, which I not had time to do. I decided, based on the job they did in the garage, that I would not have them do the other work I requested. I am hoping they actually did the electrical correctly, as my heater has now tripped the breaker since the install. I would probably not use them in the future for other services if needed. "

FAQs for sewer main install, replace or repair projects in Ogden, UT

When installing a sewer line, you should consider extra costs like tree removal, driveway repairs, or patio resurfacing. Hiring a professional plumber is essential, and you may need additional specialists if landscaping or heavy excavation is involved. Addressing these potential extras up front helps ensure accurate budgeting and prevents sudden cost overruns.

To calculate the length of sewer piping you need, measure the distance from your house to the main sewer line, adding the depth of the city main to this distance. Be sure to account for any obstacles like tree roots or utility lines that may require additional piping.

City sewer lines are installed at a lower elevation to prevent unwanted backflow and water damage. This lower positioning ensures enhanced performance and long-term safety, meeting all technical and safety standards.

With trenchless methods, a plumber inserts a smaller pipe within the existing plumbing, avoiding full excavation. It can be more cost-effective and less disruptive than traditional methods, but it's not suitable for all homes.

Yes, you must secure permission from your local water authority before connecting to a public sewer line. This approval ensures your connection meets all regulatory requirements.

Sewer lines are buried between 18 inches and 8 feet deep, with most systems placed between 18 and 30 inches. In colder regions, pipes are set deeper to remain below the frost line.
