"The Brick Brothers did a great job on finishing up the columns when the original contractor failed to complete the job. They were very polite and showed up when they said they would. Thanks for a great job."

"They did a fantastic job. Kept the area as clean as possible and very careful bringing the stone in over wood floors by protecting it with moving blankets, etc. The project took several days and they did a fantastic job."

"Mark was prompt to return texts, helpful with suggestions and followed through with all details. <br /> <br /> It was a difficult project because the subfloor had waves in it. He made the floor level as could be and then installed a pattern that helped hide the fact that the cabinets were not square. (It's a really OLD house!) <br /> <br /> I would highly recommmend him."

"On second story they installed GutterGlove. It was very expensive, so I only had installed where it was dangerous to clean gutters. Now that I have gone through the Spring debris season, I wish I had GutterGlove on all of my gutters, but it would have added an additional $3000 to the job. I had given specific instructions about where I wanted a down spout that were not followed. When I pointed this out, it was corrected at a lot of trouble on their part. All in all, a good construction company."

"Tim Swafford is very easy to work with and easy to talk to when things come up in the project.  Not your typical contractor just there to get the job completed as quickly as possible.  They spent about 5 months on our project and it looks unbelievable.  Better than we imagined. <br />"

"Was very responsive when calling to request work on a Thursday. Told them that the job took a 40 ft ladder since my husband would have fixed it himself if he had a longer ladder. Someone came to give me an estimate on Monday. He gave me a very reasonable price for the work of replacing the trim which consisted of labor only. He wrote on the estimate that it required a 40 ft ladder. On Tuesday, he returned to do the work. When he put his "not 40 ft" ladder up it was too short so he told me he had to go back and get his other ladder and would be back. I never heard from him that day or the next. On Thursday I called again and was told that he would be back on Friday. I had other plans so we worked it out for him to come on Monday. He did show up on Monday with his 40 ft. Ladder and completed the job satisfactorily. <br />"

"<p>He had to deal with my constant rescheduling due to my work schedule, but he was professional and flexible and that meant a great deal.  He spent most of the afternoon with me, making sure that I all my questions were answered and that I was pleased with his work.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /></p> <br />"

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Ooltewah, TN

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
