Due to a busy schedule the crew agreed to come by on a Saturday for the install, less than 2 weeks from date of estimate. He had the opportunity to cobble my old one together and charge me for labor, but his integrity shined through and he let me know it's not safe, and he's not comfortable doing that. I had them come over to check our A/C which had gone out. I had used these guys for a service before and they saved me a bunch of money, so I thought I'd give them a chance again. The technician came out and did a good job diagnosing a bad motor. He then band-aided it so it would work for the night. He said he'd be back between 8-10 the next day. I waited until 10:30 and called them. They said he was running late and would be there between 11-12. I told them to just cancel the service. My time is valuable and now I have to catch up at work. No call and no heads up that they weren't going to be there takes them off my list.

The technician had talked me into a $650 motor. I looked on line and can buy something similar for MUCH less, so I guess I'm grateful they gave me a chance to dump them.

He also talked me into a maintenance schedule for $16/month. Hopefully I can get out of that one since they never did anything except reconnect a wire. I'm sure I'll still have to pay out the wazoo for that..
