"The BEST phone call I have made this year for a service needed in my home was to Mirsky Heating and AIr. I called in the middle of a So. Cal heatwave because my thermostat had stopped working and I needed to replace it. How often does an AC company, in the middle of a heatwave, tell you they can come the same day? NEVER!! Except for Mirsky..Darrow told me that he would try to make it work..and he did...which I will be forever grateful!!! He checked in with me during the day to assure me that he was coming and not to leave work until he was more clear on the time he would be at my home. My air conditioning unit completely died on me and there was a heat wave coming. I was panicking and a friend suggested I call NRG. That was the best advice I had ever taken. They were very friendly on the phone when I called to make an appointment. They were on time and they explained the different options I had, they were very nice guys. I decided to purchase a whole new unit it because it was time.

They installed it that day and they kept me informed every step of the way on the process and what they would be doing next. I was very satisfied with the work they did and the price was really affordable. Since the installation my house has stayed nice and cool and I've never had any problems with the unit. I would highly recommend NRG Heating And Air Conditioning. They're Awesome!

"We had no heat, and we had other companies come out and they said we had to replace our system. DNA heating and cooling came out and recommended we replace our system, but did offer other options. We opted to repair versus replace for the time being and the system has worked thus far. We would highly recommend this company as they were gloves, masks and booties over there shoes. The technician was extremely thorough with the unit, and he was able to communicate with me so I was able to understand and make an informed decision. When it comes time to replace our system we will definitely be using this company they have our business for life."

"I found Precision Auto Works here on Angie's List.  They had great reviews and a 10% off labor coupon.  I decided to give them a try.  I pulled into the parking lot and was a little leery because it looks like you are parking next to a house.  Do not let this stop you.  You ARE supposed to park there.  Walk around the house to the back and you will find the office and see the shop.  It's a strange set up, but this place was awesome. 
I have never had such great customer service from an auto mechanic.  I had an engine light on in my car and I needed an oil change.  A friend had pulled the error codes from my car and I was able to walk in with those.  The office spent several minutes with me discussing and looking up the codes.  They called the mechanic (Dave) in and he also spent quite a bit of time with me.  As a female, I have never felt so comfortable at an auto shop before.  I left my car and waited for an estimate. 
A couple of hours later they had located the problem (an actuator) and gave me an estimate.  For parts, labor and a synthetic oil change, the estimate was $450.  $80 or so of that was my synthetic oil change (which is about average).   $175 was for the actuator part.  $200 for labor (with my 10% off coupon labor came to $180).  So anyway, right around $450.  Now here comes the good part.  They called a second dealership to check for the part so they could get the car back to me on the same day.  The other dealership wasn't going to have it available until the following day.  We're not sure what happened but the second dealership listed the part for $50.  They called me with the great news about the price drop and told me my car would be ready that day.  Do you know how easy it would have been for this mechanic to just charge me the full $450?  I never would have known the difference.   However, they did not do that.  They passed on the savings.  My final bill?  $301.  
I felt they we're upfront and honest throughout the entire experience.  They mentioned they will be calling the first dealership to find out why they had such a huge price difference and mentioned they will not work with them in the future if they are gouging their prices.  It may have been an honest mistake somewhere along the way but either way, they are looking into it.  I love that they kept me in the loop and told me absolutely everything that was happening.  Not many shops would take the time to keep a customer so informed.  
Try this place! You just might find "your" new mechanic!
**As as a side note, this experience has convinced me to renew my Angie's List membership.  I don't use the site very often but if I can find even one compnay a year that provides an experience like Precision Auto Works, then my membership pays for itself.

"The first and foremost reason I selected Aeris Heating and Air Conditioning to do the complete overhaul of my house' heating and cooling system with relocation was their professionally written estimate. It was quite detailed and comprehensive, a far cry from those of other bidders. Secondly, because of Arian G. who to make the story short recommended the addition of new supply and return vents to improve ventilation. He insists on having the HERS test and city inspection even if it would cost me $600 more to insure that things were done up to standards. The reason for the 3-star review is the behavior of their work crew. They came down seemingly unprepared. They did not have long enough ladder to get them to the roof so I had to let them use mine. They used my crowbar without asking. I could not communicate very well with the foreman. At the end of the day, they did not clean up their litters of bottles, wrappers and masks around the house. Despite all these, will I still recommend them to others? Maybe, but only after warning them about their work crew."
