"The overall installation went through eventually after delays a few times due to various reasons, materials, wrong measurement, insufficient tools, insufficient labor. The price and communication were good. The workmanship was poor.
A few sliding rails were broken. After the first one broken, I talked to Gregg to use attention. It did not work obviously. "The piece is not needed" was his reply.
When the frames were put back, corners of the windows were not well aligned. Forces instead of careful alignment were used, had I not watched over all the time.
Seals of frames were not as tight as original ones.
The white frames had some bad scratches during the installation.

"After getting a bid from Cady this summer, I hired them to do some work on my house (clean gutters, install gutter covers I'd purchased and fix a piece of siding). They agreed to do the work on September 10 at 1:00 p.m. They didn't show, and they didn't return my calls over the next couple of days. I felt they wasted my time. "Called another company originally they asked how old the furnace is and I said about 5 yrs. old (it is 6 yrs old). They informed me that I should get a hold of the company that put it in because it should still be under warranty, which after I looked it was. So I called Service Today to set up an appt. to have them look at it. Andrew came out and with various questions asked I said that the thermostat we have is wifi and that is how we run it. Comcast upgraded the wifi in the neighborhood the day before and it was today I woke up and noticed that the thermostat wifi was not connected to the wifi anymore. He looked into it and noticed that when I put it on heat via by phone app or manually by the wall thermostat, it was turning on the A/C instead and visa versa. He came at a price to me of about $350 to run a diagnostic to find the issue. He did and then he comes back and tells me that the thermostat itself is burn out (I bought the thermostat from them when I had the new furnace installed 6 yrs. ago). Andrew goes to his van and of course comes with only 2 thermostats that he has on hand. One is not wifi and it was $350 or so and the other was $800 which was wifi programmable. He did say we could just go and get one from Best Buy or something but we would have to install it. We decided on the lower cost of the 2. As he was installing it I looked up the retail cost for the same exact one he was putting in (Honeywell T4Pro) and it was $75 at Best Buy. I mean really.........that much of a mark up in cost!!! It is like this company does not understand that we are in a pandemic and that money for so many people is really really tight!! To gouge customers like that. As I sat in my office crying about the cost I let myself get washed into, after a while I asked Andrew why such a big cost increase on the thermostat. He said he has nothing to do with the pricing of items, which I understood. Andrew was a nice guy and just doing his job. I put this gouging at the feet of the company because right now, people have to decide to either pay a heating/electric/etc. bill or pay a company a massive cost to have a thermostat put in. Andrew did take down some wires that were for a humidifier that was on the old furnace prior to installing the new one and also cleaned some dust and lint from the furnace. Will I call these guys again, only if I know that there is something wrong with the furnace that is under warranty still, other then that, I cannot afford them. They were better when they were Airtech. The C rating I gave it has more to do with how nice Andrew was then the company. For the company itself, I give it an F"

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"Hal is quirky and sometimes hard to keep in contact with.  It took a while to arrange everything.  I say this because you may well encounter the same issue if you use him.  Despite that it was worth it, so I offer it as a warning but also encouragement to be persistent anyway.
We used Hal before.  When we wanted to add another section of fence we had some designs I wanted to build myself, but I loathe putting in posts.  We contacted several fencing contractors, looking just for putting in posts.  Quite a few were completely uninterested in the job, either evidenced by never following through on an estimate, or giving us absurdly high quotes.  Everyone else was more expensive than Hal ? it's hard to say by exactly how much, since they were quoting slightly different jobs, but I think 50% more expensive or more.
Talking to Hal we decided to have him build the entire outside of the fence; for sound insulation we would later add an inner layer, insulation between the layers, and a sort of built-in planter and bench.  I would have felt comfortable with Hal doing that part too, but actually explaining what I wanted (and deciding what I wanted) seemed too complex, so I had decided early on to do most of that myself.
Since we knew we needed a bunch of extra lumber, that should match what Hal was using, we asked him about it, and he was happy to order extra wood and deliver it with the rest of the supplies.  I didn't expect him to plane the wood and use a router on the edges, but he did, which is great.  It makes the fence look far better than if it was using wood straight from the lumberyard.  He even softens the edges of the posts.

"They were very responsive, and came within budget. There was a lot of different projects that they worked on. We had a little difficulty with them completing a small project. The window blinds were purchased by us, and they were to install them. However, there was a series of problems with the blinds that were not of their doing. At the end of the day, we didn't feel like the blinds were installed properly. Overall, there were many positives to working with them. They solved the sewer problem very quickly. They're very attentive to their customers and measure themselves against a well laid out plan. They were highly responsive to our particular timing needs prior to selling the home."
