"Doug did a phenomenal job! Very professional and courteous staff. Not too many places these days that you feel go above and beyond to provide good service - these guys are definitely like that. We work during the week and were unable to be present during installation, or later, when the work needed to be inspected.
They accommodated our schedule by sending someone out to the house to be present during the inspection. They charged a small fee, but to us, it was worth not having to take a day off from work. We were extremely happy that they accommodated our needs, and they really did not a great job. Would definitely recommend!

"Sila was one of three companies I contacted for estimates on replacing my oil-fired systems with heat pumps. I have a boiler and two forced air furnaces, so the work would be extensive. I contacted Sila because their reviews were favorable, they sell Carrier products (which I was leaning toward), and they sell high velocity systems, which I felt might be a good option in the older part of the house where I don't have ducts. I was prepared to really go over the things that work well with ducts in the house, things that don't, and what my general asks were for the systems. The salesman was pleasant enough, but seemed completely uninterested in how I felt my current systems were and what my goals were. I asked for a price on two levels of Carrier (Performance and Inifinity) for the existing forced air systems, and then price me out for a reasonable high velocity system. The sales person who came out was pretty perfunctory and didn't take good notes while we spoke. I didn't think he was really that engaged in my concerns about the routing of high velocity ducting and placement--he just told me how it would have to be. While sometimes that's how things work, I don't think he really addressed my concerns with having all outlets in the ceiling only in the lower level, which would potentially leave me with lots of heat hanging around the ceiling. However, the larger issues were that the bids did not match the requirements for the project. First, he sent only the high velocity bid and nothing for the other systems. When i asked, he sent the other estimate, but only for the Carrier Infinity, omitting that I specifically asked for a bid on doing those systems with a Performance line that would allow me to use my existing non-communicating thermostats. In addition, their bid was the most expensive and their attention to detail seemed poor for a $40,000+ job. Spending less than an hour with me and sending lackluster boilerplate bids (with all kinds of language that should not have been in the bid, like references to other brands, etc.). A bid should be custom for the buyer and tailored for match what I'm asking for. This lack of attention to detail and customer focus lost Sila this job."

"Excellent job by both Vernons!  Father and son.  Had an 08 OS Smith 50 gal electric water heater on the edge of failure.  Was at the point of repair or replace.  Decided to replace.  There was a challenge in that the previous owner decided to tuck the failing water heater in behind the heat system boiler piping.  WHY?!  Who knows.  I told Hamilton Plumbing that we would just leave it in place and put the new water heater where there was room to situate it.  Vernon Sr. wanted to take a stab at removing the old heater.  So, with a sledge hammer in hand Vernon Jr. persuaded the old water heater to shrink some on one side!  And then the old unit squeeked by the piping for the boiler without having to get into an expensive movement of the boiler system piping.  Excellent work.  We are pleased. 
Prompt, courteous, clear, concise, cleaned up the work space...  We would definitely hire again.

"These guys were the best. They arrived on time and ready to work. I needed my Ac and gas furnace replaced, Their price was unbeatable and workmanship was outstanding. They were very knowledegeable and explained everything about the new system. They removed the entire system and replaced everything in less than 4 hours. It was a little involved as we have a hudmidifier attached to the system and the entire house is connected to a backup generator. Not a problem for these guys. Additionally they gave us a great warranty and stand behind their work. If you are reading this review and need work complete do not hesitate to call SRM. You'll be glad you did."

"Henry and John provided the service and were very professional. Although they arrived a bit later than expected, the inspection was performed efficiently and completed well within the one hour I had expected it to take. I had been remiss in replacing my filters and Henry explained to me why it is important to change them every three months. Knowing the possible consequences will lead me to be more responsible in the future. My A/C unit is installed in an attic and even though the ladder I provided was rather short, Henry said not to bother getting a longer one and made do with what I had provided. John volunteered to carry the ladder back downstairs and carried the longer, heavy wooden ladder out to the yard for me. I was also pleased that both men put on shoe covers to walk through my house. In sum, the service was carried out professionally and cordially and I would definitely use their services again."

"They (two of them) arrived on time and did an excellent job. Dryer vent cleaning was not included in the original price but they cleaned it as a bonus (dryer vent is very small, it covers the length just across the wall). The guy was trying to push me to put UV lamps in the cooling unit and also put "organic" chemicals in the vents to prevent fungi (which were rather expensive). I guessed those were just useless gimmicks to get money, so I politely refused and they didn't press me further."

"Ivan, from It's Phenomenal Air Heating and Cooling, was great. He was very professional and patient when answering our questions prior to accepting his quote to do the work. And additional bonus is that he recommended the Goodman A/C and heating systems, which get very good reviews and are not overly expensive. On the day of installation, he was very thorough and made sure the work was done properly. He also followed up with emails and made an additional visit to check the humidity levels in the house. We will definitely hire him and It's Phenomenal again for any other HVAC work and we recommend him to anyone else needing such work done."
