"I have never had gutters on my home, so when Gutter Guys visited to do an estimate, they needed to look at the entire home, front and back. They gave me several options including only having the front of the home done, or having the entire house done in normal gutters. They also gave me prices for the cadillac of gutters which has the "GutterGard" which leaves no need for cleaning out the gutters. The idea of climbing a ladder a couple times a year was not inviting, and once they shared a payment plan with me, I was sold. "Rich came to provide an estimate for gutter cleaning which was more than the Angie's list deal. I wasn't too worried about the deal, wanted to find a person that would do good work, and wanted build an ongoing relationship. Rich ended up doing the gutters, and pressure washing, and then suggested a gutter guard product for install and completed the entire job within a week of the initial meeting. I'll be using him for any future pressure washing work, and appreciated how he followed thru after the initial meeting."

"We have a slow leak in the front bedroom that causes the plaster to p***** and powder but not turn to paste.  We hired Champion to stop the leak.  They said we needed a new roof, our slate was worn out [after 80 years].  We got the new roof. However, the roof continued to leak IN THE SAME SPOT as it had been doing for decades!  Champion came back out the same week we called.  The worker stayed up on the roof for about an hour with a caulking gun.  Like the original crew, he was very prompt and professional.  And like with the original crew the puckering and powdering returned with the first rain that followed. They are scheduled to return this month to check the problem again. 
I am very dissatisfied.  We really thought if we "bit the bullet" this time and shelled out bucks for a full blown licensed roofer AND replaced the WHOLE roof this time, the problem would finally be fixed.  We were wrong.  Worse yet, there does not seem to be any brainstorming, strategizing  or meeting of the minds by Champion to determine WHY the same spot continues to show evidence of the leak, something I had hoped for from a large company that we finally hired to replace the whole roof. 
I am dissatisfied.  I am disappointed.  I have been hiring all levels of contractors off and on for over 25 years to fix this same leak.  Champion is not alone.  None have succeeded.

'Turns out brainstorming is exactly what was needed.  Thankfully I found my own source!  I learned that after becoming wet, plaster can become "diseased" and continue to flake and powder, even after the best scraping and spackling job. The answer is to apply "Kilz" first THEN spackle!  Result?  No more puckering and powdering!
'Glad I didn't have to wait for them to figure it out.  They were completely baffled. The wall is dry now when it rains!  I will get a different company for future projects."

I purchased the deal for contractor for the week which is really about 35 hours of contracting labor.  Overall, the experience went well.  Myriad did a lot of work between two properties; one of which is a rental and the other a newly purchased home.  They did the below for me:

Hung two ceiling fans

Replaced trim around exterior of sliding glass door (installer did use non paintable caulk which caused some issues trying to paint it)

Replaced trim around garage access door

Planted a 4 foot tree

Replaced gate hardware and rehung

Sealed fence and deck

Installed ceiling mounted storage for garage (owner did cut himself pretty badly in the process and we had to call an ambulance)

Cleaned gutters

Painted some of the trim in our dinning room

Overall, Myriad was very punctual and professional through all of the work.  Some of the work probably could have a little more attention as noted above.  If I had one gripe I would say they shorted me about 3 hours of work as one of the first days they were supposed to plant the tree and seal the fence/deck.  Unfortunately it had unexpectedly rain that morning allowing him to only plant the tree and he stated the rest of the time would be credited; however, the worker ended up leaving the company between that appointment and the next one and that was never passed along.  Probably more my fault for not being a stickler in terms of the overall amount of hours remaining.  Either way, I would still recommend Myriad as they did good work at a good price and I would consider them a trustworthy company.
