"Leak was found and plugged in light fixture (broken conduit, most likely). Arnold was very professional and thorough, kept checking all possible problems even after he found the leak, and let us know the rest of our pool plumbing was in good shape. Gave us advice to keep an eye on possible problems. Charge was a little higher because we have a combination inground spa with our pool, meaning more plumbing to check. Very happy with results."

"We had Mad River Pools come out and give us an estimate on a pool remodeling job. After talking to Mike, we knew right away that he was the perfect man for the job. Mike told us that he worked on one pool at a time, and didn't have multiple projects going at once, and we liked that. He was honest and told us he wouldn't be able to get to our pool until the fall/winter. I was ok with waiting. I waited 10 months for Mike but I knew he was worth the wait and would do it all over again. I heard so many horror stories about pool remodeling jobs and I didn't want to end up with a headache that would cost me thousands of dollars. Mike and his team were awesome! They always picked up and didn't leave a mess when they were done for the day. He respected our budget and the price was very good. Our pool is done now and it turned out even more beautiful than we could imagine."

"They do a great job maintaining our pool and getting parts fixed when need be."

"Painting concrete pool deck & driveway pressure washing"

"Alex was very professional and he did an outstanding job. He figured out a better placement for the fence, installed new, better latches and now it's a lot easier to open it up. The old fence was so tense, it required two people to open it. Overall very pleased."

"I received an estimate from Thomas to find and repair all my irrigation, (which was not working and some not visible), install a new control unit, and overhaul my existing landscaping. His brother Chris took over the job later than planned, and installed plastic edging, some new plants and pine bark to my existing landscaping and repaired and eventually found all my irrigation and repaired it. There were some issues and it was a rather tedious process. I was over promised and they under delivered as I paid for what was quoted to actually do more work, yet I told them they didn't have to do edging and pine bark down to my barn but still paid the whole amount because they replaced a lot of heads on my irrigation. There was poor communication from the start and I felt as if there were some issues within the company that were causing big conflicts with the job. I tried very hard to be understanding and in the end even wrote them a check for an extra $200. They started the work on Feb. 18th and finished the work March 21st. Whatever issues the company is going through in the end I am still the customer and I hired them according the the bid I received for the work I was told would be done. I am now satisfied with the work, and throughout the whole ordeal the workers were always nice and polite. I just wish it wouldn?t have taken over a month to get it right. From reading all the reviews prior to hiring them, it seems as if this job was exceptionally troublesome for them but it?s all done now, and in the end I am happy they came back and corrected all the issues."

"He used to clean my pool, he filters when it needs to be filtered, they do whatever they need to do. but when he expanded his service, it's not working good for me anymore."

"Overall, very well. Prompt, courteous, easy to work with. Their arrival was delayed about 30 minutes, nothing I would have considered an issue, but they sent a text notifying me of the delay well before the scheduled arrival time. One lesson learned however. Sham Shield is a pressure washing company, but pressure washing is not always the best tool. Some of my gutters are an integral part of the pool enclosure with the screen abutting the outside edge of the gutter. There was a lot of roof grit in the gutters. Sham Shield advised this would be a difficulty. The cleaning using a pressure washer blew grit through the screen on to the pool deck, with a considerable amount going into the pool. Sham Shield cleaned the deck, no issue, but there was nothing they could do about the grit in the pool. I don't fault Sham Shield, they did what I hired them to do, and advised me of the potential problem beforehand. I'll definitely use them again for pressure washing, but select someone who uses a different cleaning method for the pool enclosure gutters."
