"I called to set up an appointment to have my garage door fixed. West Texas door said they would come by around 4:00 the following day. I got a phone call letting me know they were on their way, they were on-time. Upon examining my doors, Bill explained to me that my garage door needed to be reset and my beam was picking up some kind of interference. He adjusted the beams, and reset my garage door and Ta-da. He declined payment, stating that the problem was very simple. It is about time for me to replace my garage doors and the bid West Texas Door and Construction is very reasonable and competitive. They <strong>will </strong>be coming back to replace new insulated garage doors."

"When the garage door jumped its tracks on one side and bent the other railings, the door was stuck in the open position. Because of the security problem that causes, I needed someone to work on it ASAP. Another company wanted to charge me $179/hr overtime to do that. Instead, I located Action Doors, who could send the technician out the same day, and in the rain, as it turned out. Whitney came out at the time agreed upon, and was able to get the door back on its rails and closed even though I had to leave. That solved the security issue. I made a second appointment to make the actual repairs and have the rails replaced. He came back a few days later, made the repairs quite rapidly and I had a smoothly running door by the time he finished. Whitney was very courteous and professional and trustworthy with your belongings in the garage. Definitely will use them again when garage door problems arise."

"It went pretty good but there are/were problems with the install. The astragal on the bottom of the door continues to roll-up as the door closes. A crew returned to address this issue but it still exists."

"One pool claim was specifically excluded by the contract provisions. One pool claim was difficult to work through (leaking check valves), The last pool claim went very smoothly, very quickly, and with a good service provider. This involved replacing the motor on the pool filter pump. There was no dispute in work-scope. The service provider was very busy, so it was a full week from failure to repair. Luckily I could still circulate water using the waterfall so the pool did not breed excessive algae. The A/C claim was a disappointment because in order to get what I needed, I had to settle for a payout vs. a repair. Of course, the payout was extremely low (based on their high-volume wholesale rates) vs. my retail cost for repairs. Furthermore, the A/C contract provisions limit the refrigerant refill amount. I paid several hundred dollars more to refill my unit after the repair. Thankfully, the A/C repair was early/ pre-season, so the time to settle the claim and replace the unit was acceptable."

"I wanted to get a security system for my home and it was between ADT and another company. Everyone has their opinion of who they like and who they don't. I ended up choosing ADT because of how established the company is. When they installed the keypad I was unimpressed because of how large it was. I thought about it and decided to take advantage of ADT's 72 hour cancellation policy and cancelled the service. I told them I thought the keypad was too big and outdated. The next day the secretary was on the phone with me and offered me a smaller touch-enabled keypad along with $100 off which covered my first two months of service. <br />"

FAQs for garage door installation and replacement projects in Plainview, TX

Yes, you can replace just one panel if your door is sectional and the damaged panel is available. Most modern residential garage doors have four to six horizontal panels that can be individually replaced. However, finding an exact match becomes challenging for older doors or discontinued styles. For doors over 15 to 20 years old or with multiple damaged panels, a complete door replacement might be more practical and visually consistent.

Minor dents or cosmetic damage can often be repaired without replacing the entire panel, potentially saving you money. However, if the damage affects the door's operation, security, or structural integrity, replacement is often a better investment.

For extensive damage to multiple panels or older doors where matching is difficult, full door replacement might be more economical in the long run than multiple individual panel replacements.

Your garage door panel might be repairable if the damage is superficial and doesn't affect functionality. Small dents in aluminum panels, minor scratches, or cosmetic issues often don't require full replacement. However, replacement is often necessary if the panel is warped, has large holes, shows extensive rust, or affects how the door operates. A professional garage door technician can evaluate the damage and recommend whether repair or replacement offers the best value and durability.
