"Mr. Coffee is a hero who risks his health daily to help mitigate dangerous radon problems for strangers who call for help. This is a dangerous job with daily high radon exposure and when I asked, he said he is aware of the risks but gets his health scanned multiple times a year. I called Covenant Air back in December after noticing that my Safety Siren Pro radon detector kept reaching alarm. Mr. Coffee came out and assessed that I could probably fix the problem myself by sealing some obvious cracks, especially around some pipes, and recommended the products so that I can do it cheap DIY. He was obviously not pushy to scare people into signing contracts, but actually tried to dissuade me from hiring him right off on installing sub slab depressurization. Although the DYI route he recommended would've been cheaper, I hired him to performs the job. The sealing did bring the radon level down where my detector's alarm didn't go off, but I wanted to lower it as much as possible. He then recommended a passive ventilation route given my reading. The passive ventilation again slashed the radon level in half, but I wanted the radon level down even further, so I ultimately opted to install the fan after weeks of data collection and analysis. He installed the fan so that I could easily turn it off to save energy based on seasonal variations. He is a very personable and methodical person, and prefers to monitor the progress of his work so that his customers don't hastily incur unnecessary cost. You almost never see someone like that in the service industry, and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

"I contacted One Call Roofing to see if they would install metal hooks adjacent to my gutters across the front of our house. I wanted the hooks to be permanent and evenly spaced across the front of the house so I could then affix our Christmas lights each year. Our roof is roughly 30' and I don't want to buy a $400 ladder and then also run the risk of falling 30' to an untimely fate. So my game-plan is to use a extender tool out the top windows to hang lights on these hooks.

I wasn't sure who to call to get this job done. I started with some "handy men" recommended on Angie's List. Unfortunately none of the "handy men" did this type of work and/or didn't have a ladder tall enough to reach a 30' roof.

Then on Thursday afternoon I started to call several roofing companies recommended on Angie's List. Surprisingly none of the 5 top rated roofing companies would do it - except One Call Roofing. I talked to Steve at One Call directly and he told me that while they had never done anything like that before, he would be glad to try to help me out. That was late Thursday afternoon. Around 8:00am Friday morning One Call stopped by the house to a**** what size ladder they would need. Then an hour later Steve called me back to say they could do the job and gave me a really fair quote. He also told me that he understood I wanted this job completed for Christmas lights and said he could have someone out first thing on tomorrow (Saturday) morning.

At 7:30am on Saturday morning it was 32F outside and One Call pulled into the driveway with the ladder for the job. They installed the hooks promptly and exactly in accordance with the specifications I had requested.

My experience with One Call was that everyone I spoke with (3 folks in all) were very professional, punctual, and did the job perfectly. When my roof needs replacement in a few years I'm definitely calling One Call Roofing.
