"Dustin and Troy came to our new house in Weiser to inspect our roof and talk about its condition and what we might do or not do. They showed up on time, which made me happy. They seemed to be polite and energetic young men. They explained what they were going to do and then they did it. After inspecting the roof, they came inside crawl through the attic taking pictures. They told us what they found and what we needed to do if we want toâ no pressure, no gimmicks, and so far no problems. We decided to replace the roof, so Dustin took us through the whole process of what, when, how much, and did it with a smile! Troy was there to keep Dustin in line and make sure he got it right. Both men were pleasant to work with, and fun to talk to. They seemed to know their business, and as I have been in construction most of my life, I was happy."

"Very nice workmanship. Communications with the general manager who did the bid process and quarter backed the job were terrible from the beginning. Confusion, lack of response and continued confusion, and ultimately some nastiness by the GM when they weren't finishing the job made it a negative experience. If you're willing to deal with that the work product is pretty good. I went with them because they were the only stone subcontractor I could even get to do a bid. I also asked them for abid to paint the house and they were twice as expensive as the painting sub who ultimately painted my house, more than twice as expensive as the sub I hired to tear down and rebuild a wall, and about 4x expensive as a sub I hired to do some stucco work. So I'm left to wonder whether what I paid for the stone work was equally higher than what I would have paid for the same work by another stone sub."

"I had a paver patio done last fall ~ contractor did good work. Then after waiting the appropriate time to seal the pavers same contractor did not read instructions for sealer product causing flat looking, bland appearance, and a most difficult situation to correct. I called in a new contractor, SealTeamOne Kirkland, experienced in sealing pavers to “fix” the appearance problem. Leonard was timely in his appointments, reviewed and discussed how to deal with the problem ~ and completed the process yesterday. I am very pleased with his work and the pavers now look colorful and bright as they should. Thanks to Leonard and Seal Team One!"

"I am very happy with the results. Raul was professional and easy to talk to. The workers he hired were also professional and respectful. All the trash was removed as they went and when the job was complete the area was clean. The job was completed on schedule. I have a kitchen remodel coming up and I will hire Bernal Construction."

"The whole crew from the workers to the owner were extremely helpful and provided a professional atmosphere resulting in a very happy customer. The workers showed up when expected, worked hard through the day and their workmanship was excellent, they took pride in the work they performed. Jesus was responsive to our needs and ensured things were done exactly as requested, provided recommendations and was patient when we made mid-stream changes. They started and finished the job on time as promised. Our backyard is absolutely beautiful and we couldn't be happier. I plan to hire them again for our front yard remodel.

"Val-Arm came out to my house on short notice and provided an accurate quote to restore the concrete on my driveway, my porch, and the walkway around the front of my home. The house is for sale and they were able to scheduling me quickly and work around a couple of showings. There workers were very professional and answered all of my questions.
The work itself is absolutely stunning. I had no idea that my cracked concrete could be made to look so amazing without replacing everything. Their process is fairly simple in that they make cuts into the concrete, fill large cracks, grind any rough spots, power wash, then stain the concrete. The final result looks like custom concrete paving slabs or concrete stamps.

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Ramona, CA

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
