"My Waldrop system is a dream. The system is more efficient and keeps my house comfortable all year long. Saves me money too! I keep it maintained regularly. I also use our plumbing team for work around my house. The plumbing team has done pipe repairs, shower repairs and replaced a disposal. I love Waldrop and their professional techs! "

"Tim did a very professional job.  Worked with me on price and did an excellent job installing the units.  I was concerned about a couple of minor items.  Just to be clear, I am an engineer and am not that easy to please.  Tim responded promptly and fixed/ adjusted the items that I mentioned to him.  Very please with Palmetto Heating and Air and would definitely recommend them to anyone. <br />"

"I called other plumbers and after discussing the problem, they never called back. Used Angie's List, for the first time, and called Carolina Plumbing. Talked to Ed Bishop, the owner, and we set up an appointment. He arrived on time and looked at my problem. He wanted to do some research.  He called back in a couple of days and we set up another appointment. Again he arrived on time and brought with him a friend who was a retired plummer. They both looked a the problem and made some suggestions. Ed returned the next day, on time. He made the corrections to the recirculating line and relocated a valve. At first I was not sure if the problem was corrected, but within two days the the recirculating line started moving hot water throughout the system and I was able to get hot water, in 5 to 10 seconds, at all sinks throughout the house. I will call Carolina Plumbing  for all of my future plumbing needs. <br />"

"Although we were naturally unhappy with having to replace a gas furnace and an AC unit, we were very happy that we called Waldrop! Everyone was professional, on time, friendly, clean, and efficient. A big shout-out to Getty, Parker, Paris, Jay, Matt, and Kyle. And it was an easy experience working with Josh, our salesperson. I was comfortable with everyone and believe that we received a quality product and service for the price. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for!"

"I had been having problems with my bathtub draining slowly--then one night it didn't drain at all.  Ken's Plumbing was very good about working me into their schedule of frozen pipes and other disasters.  The plumber was extremely nice and capable.  He explained what he was doing with the tub and made sure it was draining all right. It was expensive, but worth it."

"Everything worked reasonably well but, we never really used the fireplace until November (9 months after service).  Each time we left it on for more than 1 hour, the flame would just go out. <br /> I called them today (january 26) and they explained that it requires a standard service call which will cost another $125! <br /> I've owned several gas fireplaces over the years and never had such a problem, even after years of use.  The current logs are relatively new (maybe 4-5 years and were top-of-the-line when we bought them. <br /> I don't know if I'm being unreasonable (which is why I'm giving them a C rather than D or F) but this just didn't feel fair to me.  I guess I'll get someone else to service it. <br />"

"It was Bradford White water heaters. I guess the price is fine. It took a day to install the water heater, I don’t know. They were nice guys. There were at least two guys, there may have been three of them. It seems to me that they did the water heaters one day and I think they came back a little later and put the sink into the garage. I think it was a couple of days later. I didn’t really see anything that they needed to improve on, everything seems like it is working fine."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Roebuck, SC

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
