"This was amazing! I had no idea this service existed. After searching and contacting various repair places for my washer, this was the most cost effective option. I figured if it didn't work, my machine is old and I would be out $40, not the $100+ to have a tech come out and just diagnose the problem. I am pretty handy and my washer is old anyway, so if it is broken, I have to get a new one anyway. My tech, Steve, was great! He predicted what was wrong after listening to the machine, calmly walked me through dismantling the machine and when we got down to the motor, he was right! He sent me a link to the part I would need, and let me know to contact them again if I needed help installing it. My machine works even better than before it broke, its beautifully quiet and efficient. I will definitely be saving this company for any future repairs on appliances I may need. The service was $40 + the part cost, which was about $8."

"Premier Appliance came at the appointment time and repaired my washing machine rapidly and with expertise. I turned to Home Advisor, which recommended Premier Appliance, after another repair service first sent the wrong technician (he didn't repair appliances) and then, cancelled at least 4 appointments for the appropriate tech to come fix the machine. The machine was not functional for almost one month because of this poor service. I will definitely contact Premier Appliance again whenever any of my appliances need repair."

"Hugo Flores arrived during the time-frame given to us (the early end!), and was very professional and knowledgeable. He found the problem right away, gave us a quote, and proceeded to replace the defective parts. We had a different company work on it in November, so when making the appointment I gave TLC all the information on our hot water heater, and part that was replaced then. So before coming to our service call, Hugo picked up the parts he might need. He was so efficient and informative. And the price was very reasonable. "Rick's weekend rate was half the price of some Santa Fe plumbers' weekday rates, and he did a great job. I particularly liked that how carefully he kept track of a multi-step disassembly procedure on our washer, so that reassembling it went just as smoothly. Turned out the bellows/rubber gasket was not damaged, so he was able to rehook the spring that had been jarred loose by an overload, and refit the bellows, and we can return the part we bought. Definitely will use him for other appliance and general handyman needs!"

"Choice arranged for a technician to come to our home to repair our refrigerator, it took 2 weeks to before any company could come and we were without a refrigerator during that time. Once the tech came out, he determined the unit could not be repaired. Choice offered us a depreciated replacement amount that will not actually "replace" our unit, it will only cushion the blow a little. We were under the impression that replace meant with like quality and kind, I guess you have to read all the small print. Nevertheless, we did receive some compensation even though it will take 30 more days to receive the check in the mail for that reimbursement as well. A-1 Austin Appliance Repair was great though."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
