"Bill and Trish exceeded the expectations I had from the start. Trish is so pleasant to talk with that you forget quickly you are asking for a service and not talking to a friend. Bill is a craftsman who has many years of experience and he gets right to the point of where your problem lies. In our case the tune up for the summer was not realistic when our 30 year old AC unit had leak issues. Bill and I worked through several scenarios regarding cost of a repair and an investment in a new unit. It made sense to do a new unit and not worry about our old AC unit further breaking down and requiring more repair. Bill and Trish advised us of a cancellation that allowed the new AC unit to be installed 3 days after the service call. Bill and Trish followed through on their quote, and arrival time for installation on time. Everything I was told with a time frame was on time,accurate, and made sense to what I was receiving. Raphael and Nisho were assigned my install and they were no different regarding their punctuality and care for our house. Bill and Raphael took me through the complete process of what would be done and when the project would be finished. Raphael and his crew treated my house well making sure to drop cloths down everywhere they worked. I could not tell they did anything because of the cleanliness in which they worked. The job was made easier as Raphael helped me to clear the work area I was supposed to clear. I was running late in clearing and Raphael helped me to clear the area without complaining or having me do it on my own which was my job. After the installation Raphael walked me through our new AC and also provided valuable recommendations on how to take care of our new unit. What I must stress is everyone from Cool Air Technologies goes above and beyond what they need to in making sure you are 150% satisfied. Raphael helped me pick quality new air filters for our AC on Amazon to make sure we knew exactly what to purchase. Bill followed up that afternoon to ensure I was satisfied and encouraged any questions I might have. The AC unit performs exceptionally. The old unit if I turned it on in the afternoon to cool the house it could only drop the temperature by a degree or 2. Our new unit brought the temperature down from 78 in the house to 74 degrees in less than an hour. We still have 30 year old ducts and vents that do not allow the best air flow so this is a great improvement. Bill installed a new AC that cost me $3,000 less than what I was quoted 2 years ago from another company. My wife and I are extremely pleased with the service provide by Bill, Trish and his crew. "Sev was a total gentleman & didn’t mind letting me know the problems he was having while diagnosing the overall situation, which is very important to me. He also put up with my tiny rugrat as he lay on the floor to get to wires & she fighting to get to his ankles for a good cleaning! Thank goodness the owner was there to intervene! Really, though, Sev went out of his way to make sure I had AC today & not a moment later! He even threw in a much needed extra in order to make sure my ac was cooling at top speed! "The Company contacted me to figure out what happened, so that they could discuss it with the tech. They refunded my $39 as well. The rep came on a Thursday. He was young, smart, quick and professional but did no maintenance at all - which is what the special was for. He did not ask about the filter at all. He took video of the roof unit of our condo to show us its deterioration, which we didn't doubt. He said it was not maintainable so there was nothing to do, and offered to sell us a brand new unit. Cost: $14K. He offered us a program called HERO under which the payments are incorporated into your property tax bill. It sounded good. When we repeatedly asked what the deadline to do this was, he hedged the question ("It's not an advertised program, the company runs these special rate promotions and doesn't say when they'll stop.") It would have involved permitting, a crane, etc. We said we wanted to think about it, it was a huge investment we were not prepared for, etc. He said he wasn't working the next day but we could do this as soon as Monday, He called back Friday - twice - to ask if we'd made a decision, which was weird. We liked the financing idea but did our due diligence on the program and the proposed work and said we would not make a decision until the following week. We'd waited this long and hardly use the unit. He kept touting a $50 per month savings but our bill is almost never $50/month. My husband called him back once to ask a technical question. We consulted with our neighbor, a construction foreman who had replaced his own unit several years ago. He said the price should be about $10K. We used our American Home Shield policy the following week to get a second opinion for $100. The tech (from Consolidated) was much older than the Right Choice guy. He went on the roof, fixed a minor problem he found, and immediately knew to change the filter, a $1.00 fix. It was preventing proper air flow. He said most AC problems boil down to changing this filter, which you can buy at any home store. The difference was astounding. We were done. The Right Choice guy never called back after the weekend. We dodged a $14K bullet."
