Although his services are expensive at $175/hour (but I have not even considered calling around to get hourly rates of other engineers so his prices may be exactly in line with the local, going rate), his due diligence and detailed reports are invaluable. Following his instructions outlined in his reports to resolve problems has always resulted in success. I wanted a plan for this issue that I can implement in small increments. I felt that paying his hourly rate and coming away with a concrete plan prioritized to get the biggest bang for the buck would be well worth the initial pain felt in my pocketbook. John is professional, great at follow-through, very willing to brainstorm solutions, and good at thinking outside the box to find creative solutions to difficult problems."

He was able to give me a very fair and reasonable estimate and also provided me with paperwork with their license and insurance info. I had other contractors quote me $15,000 more for the same job, and other contractors flat out tell me no- that they didn't want the job or the job couldn't be done. Ross's crew came the next week and completed the job in 3 days. They were always right on time and the basement looks great. They also did an awesome job cleaning up afterwards.
